He is just becoming more independent, and does not want to take the time out of his play for even a quick hug. Sounds like a tough little guy!

Nah he's just a boy. Far as that goes, some girls do it too. He's just testing out his toughness. As long as somebody didn't tell him big boys don't cry or whatever, then just know he is growing into a healthy independent little person. If he is refusing ALL affection, not just when he has hit his head or something, then you might need to look at some situations like who is babysitting him and that kind of thing. But if it is just he is trying to get over 'owies' himself, this is perfectly normal.

As long as he's not refusing your affection all together, I'd say you have a very independent little man. Good for you! It means he's comfortable enough that you'll be there when he really needs you, and doesn't have to seek your attention for the little stuff. Withdrawing affection (including eye contact, etc) all together could be a sign of autism, but since you described him as loving you have nothing to worry about. When in doubt, ask his pediatrician.

Ha ha it happens to some kids, yeah. My little sis used to do that. She didn't like me touching the bump, knowing that she would just tell me owe and then back off me, because i would have to check the bump to see how serious it is :) It's normal, but if you see anything a lot stranger or a really serious bad bump then talk to your local doctor that takes him in.
check always for safety :) it's cool.

If he is not refusing other forms of comfort then this is normal. My grandson at 24 months does the same. He also laugh at when he falls and tells me his spiderman. Which is normal>>>But when he gets sleepy he climbs on my lap for lots of kisses and hugs

He might be going through a little in dependant stage where he just wants to get on with what he was doing.
My nephew is about the same age and I have noticed if he bumps himself, he doesn't look to be consoled like he used to.

Maybe someone said something about it. Saying that he should stop running to mom and dad everytime he gets hurt. Just sit him down and tell him that it is ok and good to tell you guys what is wrong. But it also could be he is realizing that it doesn't hurt much and doesn't need to cry about every little thing.

Congrats you have a tough kid. He is trying out his independence. You should be proud that he is able to overcome these types of things on his own.
He is a big boy now! (My daughter is almost 4!)

I would say ask a doctor because it does seem a little odd, but everybody else says its normal, so my guess its normal.
