HAHA! Why does my daughter wait until dinner time to poop?!?! She's done this to me many times now, and will not eat anymore until I change her diaper. After changing the diaper, I don't want to eat anymore! :)

For the same reason that once someone goes to the restroom when you're out to eat the waiter finally brings your food. Its just one of those things. Take the child potty after you order or before you sit down to dinner. Good Luck

HAHAHA. I have a 2 year old that does this too! Now, daddy or I get him ready for a meal by setting the table then going potty then washing our hands. That way we set up a rutine for him to stick to, and he feels like he is helping with dinner.

My daughter does this all of the time, I think it is too get out of eating. So they think. Even if you ask them if they have to go potty before you sit down, they still say that they have to go.

They are too busy playing prior to sitting down to notice. Like others have said before just be happy that they are telling you.
You will be so happy when they get a bit older and can do those things themselves, but in a way just a bit sad because of it too.

That is an excellent question! AND you can ask the child right before dinner if they need to go and they'll say NO or you could even make them go and "try" and they won't be able to. But sure enough, right when dinner's on the table, they need to go for sure!

I remember doing that when I was little, I think it may be because they finally have to sit still and then realize we have to go(the whole pee dance thing but with playing and runnning around) Mom used to get so mad at me too and I felt bad but I couldn't help it.

Maybe cuz the adult setting them down to eat the hot meal should have taken the children to the potty FIRST??? That is what I do, and it works. Talk to your children. Listen to your children.
