My four-year-old daughter is constipated. I know that a laxitave will help, but it will take a while. Is there anything we can do to help now? She refuses to get off the potty.

I've waited as long as I can. My 2 year old has suffered from constant congestion and swollen tonsils for over a year now brought on by her allergies to dust mites She's always on antibiotics to treat bacterial infections and has sleep apnea.

I want my baby to get well but I'm still worried about the surgery though. What can I do to help her heal better after the surgery? What foods can she eat? She's only two and I don't want her to freak out and cry too much and end up hurting her throat. I may be worrying too much but I want to get prepared.

Anyone have any information on helping a child through this?

What are the absolute MUST HAVE items for the first 3 months with a new baby?

I am due in less than 4 weeks with baby girl #2 and I making a list of the things I still need... can you help me out? My first daughter is 2 now and I am getting a bit fuzzy- what could you not live without during the first 3 months of your newborn's life?

I have all the furniture & big ticket items, I am talking about smaller items, clothing and products. Also, with clothing, how many of each item did you need? What items made your everyday life easier? What were your favorite baby products?

Help me please, I know I am forgetting things and it's driving me crazy! Thanks in advance...

BTW I am going to breast feed as I did with my first, so items relating to bottle-feeding won't be needed, I won't be pumping because I stay at home!

He has a nightlight, and is sleeping in the bedroom next to ours. However, it's not working for him because just about every night he will come in to our room around 12 or 1 am and say he's lonely and scared. My other kids never had this phase, they were happy with night lights, but Rex is different and I just wish he would stop waking us up

I got an email from a lady wanting me to babysit her son a few times a month. (I am a full time nanny)
And wanted to meet me over the weekend and see her house and everything. She gave me her address and I went and met her and her son. who is 20 months old.
Well she wanted a sitter from 7pm-9pm on a weekday. so i decided to do it because it wasnt so late and i had to get up the next morning at 6am.
Well I get to her house around 6:45 and everything seems good.
She says she will be home by 9pm because she had to work early and thats what we agreeed on. She said she would leave her number on the fridge if anything went wrong.
WELL
first off she never left a number and never came home until 11:45pm.
I had no number to call her.
She wants me to babysit for her again...I dont think I should..
what do you think of all of this.
OH and she didnt pay me any extra for being late all she said when she got home was "i had a better time than i thought"

His teacher just called and he bit one of his friends over a truck that he was wanting to play with. He is a new three and has never bitten anyone. His teacher already talked to him about why they are not allowed to bite and showed him the spot on his friend's skin where he hurt him. My question is what else can my husband and I do to help him understand that this behavior is not appropriate (besides just telling him that). I don't believe in punishment and would like to think of something creative to teach him something.

this just started about a month ago. We both work full-time jobs, but my dad takes care of him daily (he has done this since he was 2 mo. old). Is he just having security issues, or is it something more?

Aside from beating him (which doesn't work, and i hate to do) how do i stop him. He used to be an angel, people would always praise him when we went out, now the past 2 months he's been acting like a terror. We can't take him out without being embarassed. Please don't tell me it's a phase, I need a pill or something, either for him or me!!!!!!

I have a 5 yr old litte girl who is tall for her age.She has always been healthy @ checkups. She has a very big appetite though. She weighs 53-55 pounds and is 46 inches tall. I am just worried about her getting too heavy. She seems like she is always hungry and wants to eat all the time. I am now trying to get her on a better menu. Good breakfast. Then lunch. And a healthy snack. Then dinner. And a snack before bed. She just can't stick to that. She wants to eat all afternoon. She isn't big on any veggies or fruits. Can anyone give me any advice on a good menu for my daughter???
