i had that done when i was 4, i was in and out of the hospital every 3 weeks because whenever the infection cleared up it would just come back, i had bad hearing loss from it before the surgery and was almost deaf, for me to hear you you would have to get about a fot from my face and scream. i am 14 now and i havent had an ear infection since the surgery, it also seems that i dont get as many throught infections because my tonsils are gone so they dont get irritated so colds arent as bad
i could talk at all after the surgery because my throught was so soar, my doctor perscribed some stuff that tasted horrible but it helped with the pain, also dont eat any hot foods, no soda no hard food because swallowing hurts, liquid diets are the best especially when they are really cold it helps with the pain, ice cream, frozen yogurt, yogurt, anything bland that is cold and smooth onthing acidic like juice it hurts alot.

Well they'll give her pain meds to help out with numbing the throat, probably a liquid sorta med so it coats the throat. As far as food, soups, yogurt, pudding, ice cream, water, basically anything soft that's not going to hurt to swallow. Ask the doctor for some ideas for helping her heal. Generally they'll give you discharge instructions, but you can ask the nurses/doctors for ideas on helping heal and what to feed her.

the 1st couple days would be much less painful because of the medicine they use to numb the throat, this wears off after approximately seventy two hours . and then the discomfort is a techniques extra pronounced. this operations restoration is very painful and you ought to assume 7-10 days to your baby to start to consume solids conveniently. i might stay away from very heat or very chilly ingredients as they have an inclination to annoy the throat. because of the fact your son is so youthful the single element that should help.. Ladicain (sp) that's gargled does no longer be somewhat useful. shop the fluids flowing and keep in mind do no longer use a straw. Please relax assured that that's very basic for this technique and he must be feeling extra effective very quickly good success.
