Unfortunatly, I think that you are too young to babysit. You should be at least 13 to babysit. Anyway, here are some ways you can get a job eventually. What I did was I made flyers and handed them to people I knew had children. On the flyer I put my name, email, phone number, rates, experiences with kids, and age.
Finding Work
To find work when you're getting started, ask around. Maybe your neighbours or others you know have heard of sitting jobs. When looking for work, be careful:
*Don't ever advertise. Anyone could take your name or number. Not all people have good intentions
* Don't sit for people you don't know or who haven't been recommended. Babysitting for strangers you don't know could be risky if you know nothing about them.
*Meet with family before agreeing to babysit for them. Even if you are referred by someone you know, you may not like the situation in the home or attitude of the parents, or you may just not feel right about it. If so, don't take the job.
Above are some helpful tips while looking for a job, I got these tips at my babysitting course.
Have fun, Be safe!
Jobs
There are many ways you can earn money. I babysit and I get paid very well. But I think you have to be 13-14 to start.
My Rates
1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour
*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.

Even if you do take a course, a lot of people won't hire people under 13 to babysit, though it really depends on the age of the kids. I'd recommend taking a babysitting class, but you can also try mothers-helping (watching the kid while the parents are at home). Try talking to any neighbors with children, or making a flyer and handing it out to nearby houses. You can also advertise on a bulletin board at a swimming pool (when summer comes around) or at a local store.

first off get a red cross thing and it totally helps alot ask your mom or look it up on the internet. It helped me babysit when I was younger too. Good luck with your babysitting. You could post flyers around your neighborhood and give people from your church or wherever your number/ a flyer. You should go to a playground and play with kids then give their parents a flyer. Good idea if you're used to strangers. GOOD LUCK!

parents feel a lot better letting you babysit if they know your qualified... the red cross has a course for babysitting, you learn the basics and like CPR and stuff, you get a certificate and everything
also put up an add at a local convenience store or something

I think people will take you more seriously if you take a babysitting class. It includes safery and first aid. Good Luck.

Contact your local churches and see if they need help in the nursery. It will be a great way to gain experience plus there will be other people there to help you learn things. Also check with your local library ... sometimes they offer "safe sitter" courses :)
Best of luck to you!
