Is it normal for a 22-month-old boy to have the tip of his penis be purple?
I am a babysitter, but this was actually my first time babysitting a boy.

When I went to change his diaper I noticed that the tip of his penis was a light purple/brown color.... kind of like a bruise.

I asked my friend if it was normal (she works at a daycare) and she said that it's only normal if he was recently circumcised.

But, why would a 22-month-old be recently circumcised? Doesn't circumcision happen closer to birth?

She also asked if it hurt him when I cleaned him, but it didn't.

He was fine.

No crying, nothing.

He just laid they playing with his toy and watching his movie.

Is there something that could have caused this other than abuse?

I don't want to report it to CPS unless I'm pretty sure that something is going on.

My gf has both a 2yr and 3 yr old girls. The 2yr old is a typical 2yr old. she talks plays understands what you tell her ect. But the 3yr old only says a few legibal words. Much less than her sister. And she seems to be emotionally simaler to her younger sister. We have had her hearing checked. And it is not like she is mentally deficent. She understands what you ask her to do and will do it. But she will still throw a temper tantrum and act like she is emotionally defecent at times. Still wants to use a bottle even though she used a cup and can feeds her self every day. Has no want or intrest in potty training even though her younger sister does. Ect... We started her in a speach theripy class, but it is only offered 1 hour once a week. Need help and any suggestion. We have a new baby comming in june. I dont know if it matters but the father of both girls was never in the picture and still is not today. I came in there life 1 year ago. However they had a lot of loving family support .

My daughter goes to a special education preschool. She got sick about a week and a half ago with pneumonia. I had to keep her home because we didn't want the other kids to get it. Now she refuses to go back even though she's feeling a hundred percent better. She used to love school, so I don't know what her problem is. How do I convince her to go back?

We're thinking of starting one up, and would like your opinions on what you think is important. Is it the huge slide, is it the ball-pit, or maybe its the cafe to keep the parents happy?
Thanks in advance!

Ever since we got a new TV my 11 month old just can not seem to stay away from the buttons. And yes I could say "No" a million more times but I already have to say no to 100 more important things... like pulling the power supply out of the baby monitor and licking it, playing with the computer mouse, dvd drive, cd drive, printer etc. So really I don't want to hear just keep saying no and he'll get it.

What I do want to know is do you have a tv button guard? Does it work? Did you buy it, if so what brand or style? Did you make one, what does it look like?

Thanks.

My 2 year old granddaughter is sick almost every day. She drinks on average 3 pints of full fat milk every day, eats very little and has projectile vomiting. She does have an allergy to Soya which is excluded from her diet but is still being sick. Could it be she is having too much milk?

I know of a girl that has a child and she doesnt have a job and then yet doesnt get any assistance. She is sleeping around w/ anyone so she can get pregnant with another child which she honestly doesnt need!

It has snowed here like 4 inches and it was like 5 deg. and her daughter peed in her pants and she made her walk to the car which was bout a five minute walk or longer and the little girl only had on a jacket and a pull up with boots.

She screams and yells and this little girl constantly and puts bad things in her head that the little girls father and new g/f has done to her.
When she is yelling at her he says get off me I will ******* beat your ***/ and bad thngs like that.

She may only get to eat once a day and she always is begging for food and the mother says NO you have had enough..

I am worried about the girl and the mom doesnt need another child. Her bank account if over drawn and she just keep writing bad checks. How do I help this little girl?

My 4 yearold goes to a preschool in the headstart program. Because of our countries immigration status she is being forced to learn spanish. She is still learning english and has trouble pronouncing some letters. Since starting preschool she has been having even more trouble with pronounciation and learning new words in the AMERICAN language. I honestly think she is getting confused. I pulled her from that preschool and placed her in a christian preschool that teaches the 'OLD' lessons. I have recieved alot of critisism from people who say I am only hurting my daughters future by not make this second language a part of her early learning. What do you think?

I had to take my daughter to a Family Practice Clinic and while there I needed to use the restroom. It was one of those doors that had a nice 1 inch crack in the bottom and you can hear everything that goes on in there. I was on my period and had needed to change my tampon with no concerns of my three year old being there with me. Very loudly she asks "Mommy, why you sticking that in your butt?" I told her "It's something that happens to girls when they get older.", as quietly as possible. Naturally you could here the snickers outside the door. It was awful. I opened the door and everyone was starring at me. We retook our seats. To make things worse she looks at the older woman next to us and says, "My mommmys getting old so she put a stick in her butt." The waiting room was roaring. I was bright red but find humor in it now. We have not been back to that Dr. however. Just incase.

I have 2 cousins. One is 4 and the other is 2. Their mom is 8 months pregnant and is probally having a hard time keeping up with them and stuff. The boys need something that will them busy, occupied, and quiet for my cousin (their mom)'s sake. The boys are fascinated by cars and got two little fake ones for Christmas 2006. The oldest loves to be read to as far as I can tell. I'm sending some cars (ones they wont put in their mouths and get hurt with hopefully) and 2 books. I would like to send more but I dont know what else to send. I would send some markers but I worry they'll make a mess or they wont keep the lids on them. After all the oldest of the two is four. They are typical little boys who love cars and stuff. Anybody got little boys who can give me some advice? I'll check with their mom to see if they like superheroes or not. All suggestions are appreciated.

Ive been "seeing" this girl for four months now. Were not dating, were just hooking up alot. I have a four year old son, hes mom left us right after he was born. This girl know that were not or never will be more than what we are now and were both ok with that. Well lately my son has been asking for her all the time. Shes so nice to him and she really cares about him alot, i honestly think she even loves him. Everything was fine until 3 days ago when he called her mommy, right away he corrected himself and said i mean ashley but its scaring me, hes so attached to her and i know its not going anywhere. Please tell me what you think i should do about this.

Until recently, I didn't know that my daycare's been potty training my 3 year old for over a year now. They didn't tell me! To save $ on daycare, my husband wants our son to start kindergarten this year. He thinks I should force the potty issue. I strongly disagree on forceful potty training (sitting our son down & making him use the potty). Freud had a theory to back me up on this one. Advice?

My 5 year old started not liking his own daddy, I quit my job of 16 years to stay at home, I only worked part time anyway so I have always been pretty much home with the children. but one day our 5 year old son started saying he didn't like daddy he liked mommy more and didn't know why. He has also developed a temper and will not listen when I ask him to do something, he has been in time out and has spankings but just looks at me and laughs. Please help me get my child under control, with some advice.
