There hasn't been any big changes at home. That's why I can't figure it out.

He has been potytrained since 2 1/2
When I catch him 'mid stream' I'll say something and He will stop. Then goes into the bathroom to finish. I has been going on about a week. He has to go on a time out and clean up his mess when he does it.

kids do wierd things. I think as long as you tell him you dont like it and tell him its not nice that soon he should get the idea and stop doing it. They usually get past a certain phase and stop doing things you thought you might never get past .maybe you can tell him if he keeps doing it you will take away his candy or something he likes.. otherwise he might get a new toy or something if he stops..

my nephew who is 8 now around 5 or 6 at the time use to pee in potted plants?? he had a pretty crazy up breinging and just the littleist things would set him off..i would see if you are doing anything different, and if so maybe he doesnt like it and just cant tell you ..but a suggestion for if he continues to do it..everytime you catch him..take a toy away(one that you know he plays with) tell him that if hes good and doesnt do it again..he will get it back in 2 days.if he does it again within the two days take another toy and add on two more days to the first one as well..once he notices that all his toys are missing maybe he will think twice about doing it again.and once hes stoped doing it and you havent had to take anymore toys every two days let him pick the one he wants back..do this untell hes gets all of them back..hope this helps some.

Tell him that if he cannot tell you why he pees on the carpet that you will have to take him to see his doctor. Sometimes that is enough to get a child to stop this type of behavior. Also, there needs to be consistent consequences for this behavior, like no TV, or no computer games....whatever his favorite activity is. When the punishment is consistent it helps them remember.

oh my.... I have never heard of this before. Has he been pottie trained for a long time?
Have a long discussion with your child. do not let him off the hook by just shrugging and cleaning it up. DO NOT RESORT TO VIOLENCE. Your child is old enough to "use his words" and explain why he is peeing on the carpet.
How long has this been going on? It sounds like a reoccurring problem. See your pediatrician, on Monday.

i had the same problem with my little brother when he was 3 and i was 9. first of all you have to train him/her to use the potty and you can do this in many ways. when i was 9 i had a lot of stickers and kids go berserk for stickers!! so i would lure my brother to the toilet and made him pee and flush and i would give him a sticker to put on his toilet. after that he went crazy, trying to pee in the toilet all the time, run to me and i give him a little sticker, he never peed anywhere else (except in bed of course) another good trick is if you have a son, you can buy paper boats, put them in the toilet bowl and have your son aim at the boats to drown them, so they have fun and you get a pee free house.

I don't know why either.. but I would give him a HUGE consequence. it is good that he is not lying about it. Maybe attention or maybe becuase it's closer... easier and less work then lifting a tiolet lid... maybe he just pefers it for no reason. Either way, next time I would take away his favorite toy and throw it out. He wrecks your carpet, you wreck his toys one at a time. Sounds tough.. but I don't think talking or any gentle nice punishment will work here...

OK when you think about it ask him if he has to go to the bathroom if he says no and pees on the floor beat him and every time he doesn't pee in the toilet just beat him because nobody likes a beating it's not hurting him it's just making him better but before you start beating him tell him that if he keeps peeing on the floor your getting a beating."Discipline, it's all in raising a child.
