Tonight is night #4. It's 10:30, she's screaming, she's been at this since about 9:00 (she slept from 7 to 9) and she's screaming. I've done Tylenol, teething tablets, letting her get up, holding her, ice chips... hmmm, oh yeah, ibuprofin yesterday... nothing is really working....

Any tips?? I need to chill without her crying in the background or knowing that she's going to start crying....

If I let her run around, she's okay for a bit but is drooling and constantly rubbing her hand in her mouth.... but since she's distracted, she's not crying....

ahhh, wait, I think she's falling asleep...... still, please tell me what I'm forgetting! Thanks!!!

I have a 15 month old daughter. Alaina. She has been hitting, pinching, pulling my hair, and even she even bites sometimes. She has been doing this since she was twelve months old maybe even earlier. Another thing she does is balls her hands up like fists and then she like clenches her teeth and does it so hard her face shakes. She does not live in an abusive home, so I am wondering why she is like this, and how I can stop it. Can anyone help me???

I have 16 month old twins (1 boy 1 girl) and I want to start potty-training them in about 2 months, I know some of you will say that they are too young but they are both very smart and I really believe they can do it. I know girls are easier to potty train so should I try to train her first? Should I get 2 separate potties for them? Should I use pull-ups? I also know that the daycare isn't going to help me (they are busy) so what should I do about that? It might confuse them that they have to go at home, but not at daycare. I'm going to buy some potty books and think of some kind of reward system, but I just really want to make sure that once I start, I don't stop because of problems that may arise. Only mommies (especially of twins!) or people who are around little kids a lot... I would really appreciate any advice.

I have a 3 year old daughter and my sister has a 3 year old son. We all went to a christening today and after the church everyone went to a restaurant to eat.

I brought a Dora doll and a travel Aquadoodle for my daughter and my sister brought a little box of plastic building toys for her son. And we didn't see even one other child/parent with a toy, stuffed animal, book, etc.

There were about 9 kids under 5 years old at the restaurant and EVERY one of them fought with our kids for these toys. One woman actually took the Dora doll off of our table and took it back to her table, telling my daughter that her son "really loves Dora and needs to play with it for a few minutes."

I just don't get it. If you're going somewhere with your child and you know you'll be gone for several hours, how can you not bring something for them to play with? Or a coloring book ... something?

I'd like to try to get him off of only milk before the summer so that he won't dehydrate while I refuse the milk! During these temperatures he can afford to not drink for a few days.

My 18 month old only says a handful of words .. mama, dada, papa, baby, puppy (once in a great while), bye .. should I be worried?? She understands ALOT .. very thing I tell her she understands. If I tell her go give this to daddy .. she does .. go put on your slippers (flip-flops) ... she runs to look for them and put them on .. and on on ... I'm getting alittle worried because most of the sites I go to says toddlers at 18 months should say 20-30 words.

My daughter is 2 1/2, I know its still pretty early and I shouldn't be too worried about her potty training, but she shows absolutely NO interest. If anything, she's regressed, she went three days in a row on the big potty when she was 16 months and ever since then she acts like the potty isn't even there. She won't even wear pull ups. Everyone is giving me "she'll know when she's ready" Well she doesn't seem to be warming up to the idea at ALL! Any ideas?

I think my son has it. Hes 2. sooo cute! hes typical 2 year old. he loves, plays, bites.. He is sooo smart! He just cant talk! I am concerned. my screening for him isnt until March 17th. But My mom is worried that he may be autistic. he says some stuff. no complete words yet. He mostly says "AH" or "UH" he tries to say chocolate "cluccluc" he says "dohdohdohdoh" for No, No! But thats ALL as far as his vocabulary goes. My daughter at this age was a whirlwind, she would Never stop talking. and she knew colors and a TON of stuff. So, do you think he autistic?

She drinks milk and juice just fine in a sippie cup. She will not drink water. Side note: Is water such as Propel ok for a toddler? (Maybe the flavor will get her to drink some water???)

Just curious. Tell me about it. My son has been pretty healthy. When he was a week old he started vomiting real bad, took him to the ER and they found out he had pyloric stenosis and he had surgery. A few minor colds and an intestinal virus that gave him diarrhea every 30 mins.

My son is 2 going on 3 and refuses to eat anyhting that is put in front of him. It is getting quite annoying considering he only wants to drink from his sippy all day or eat candy and treats. I try to limit the treats and offer healthy foods, but all he seems to like is the bad stuff. He can go all day with out eating a bite of food, I get worried that my son has developed an eating disorder, but he is only 2! I am banging my head against a wall here! I try the finger foods, offering treats, eating with him making it seem yummy, i serve many different choices, but i am not a short order cook. I have even tried not caring and thinking he will eat when he wants, but again all he wants is candy and treats.

At what age can I start giving my toddler (she's 18 months) regular, non-Gerber juice? I only give her 6oz. per day and it's watered down. She didn't have a BM today and I am thinking about getting some regular prune juice for her...or should I stick with Gerber prune juice?? Any help would be great as I am heading to the store to get some shortly.

My little boy (3) has been in a toddler bed for about a year now. All of the sudden for the past three weeks he has been getting out of bed every hour on the hour coming to my bed wanting to sleep with me or...thirsty, wet, hot, cant fix his blankets, can't find baby bear ect. ect.
I haven't slept it seems in about a month. I attempt to hear him out and I do explain that it is bed time and the whole bit. I am tired and I know he is too, not sleeping all night. According to Grandmom (keeps him while I'm at work) she says he doesn't really nap during the day. I have noticed increase in his crying spells and tantrums. Any advise would be great. I also have a 1year old daughter, i am scared that when my son gets out of bed he will wake her as well as he has a habit of slamming doors shut.
