I had my daughter two years ago, when I was 16. I was watching this program on TV that talked about some people not being able to get good jobs because of their name. Now, I was going through a rebellious stage (obviously) and named my little girl Creed Independance. Hippieish, believe me I know. Anyways, do you think this will affect her future?

Ok - dogs are my specialty - not kids, I train dogs - my 2 large dogs are beautifully behaved and would never hurt my adorable baby - but baby thinks this means he can usethe dogs as his personal, seat, pillow, stair, hand rail, teething tool etc..etc...I dont want to smack my baby - but I amnot sure howto make it VERY clear to him to not hurt the dogs. I have moved him away, said no, he just keeps doing it! MY poor dogs are besides themselves!!

My daughter has developed a really severe nappy rash. It is everywhere - all over her buttocks as well as on her bottom and groin and it's absolutely red raw. She is 21 mo and has three teeth coming through at the moment, but she has never had anything as bad as this before. She is always changed as soon as her nappy is dirty. We haven't changed makes of nappy, wipes or anything. At first I thought it was thrush and have been using canestan, but it just seems to be getting worse. I put sudocreme on after each change. Grateful for any advice because she became really distressed today and kept telling me her bottom was "ow"

She's tall for her age and right on if not a little below her weight level. I'm concerned that her tummy sticks out quite a bit. She isn't overweight, I know this because I can see her spine and ribs.

Ok so about a year ago I got into the bad habit of letting my 4 yr old son sleep in my bed. Once I got rid of his crib and into a bed, he wouldn't stay in there. I would keep putting him back in there but once 11 pm came I would give up and let him sleep with me. So it has now been a year and and I need to get him into his own bed because now he refuses to go to sleep unless I do. Some nights he is up until 11. Its hard because I am a single mother, work full time and go to school 2 nights a week. He will be starting kindergarten in the fall and i know that this has to change. What can I do to get him to fall asleep in his own bed at an early time?

Our youngest is a very determind young lady..she's constantly not doing as she's told and we find we end up threatening the naughty mat/loss of a toy etc with nearly every request, which obviously we don't like doing...it's getting to the stage that her 4 year old sister is copying us making threats to her and we're getting exasperated as to how to get any form of co-operation without the inevitable threat of punishment/a smack or losing a favourite toy or missing out on something else we want a happy family life not a war zone... help!!!!

I fed my 4 1/2 month old some green beans not even half the jar to see how she would react to make sure she isnt allergic and what not, Im not sure exactly how much I should let her eat, but hours later it seemed like she got really gassy is this an allergic reaction or is it maybe to much for her right now, she seems to do good with the other foods this has only happened with green beans and green peas but she seems to really like the green beans or is this just normal??? how much should i be giving her?

I saw this lady and her daugher the other day. She looked about 4 years old, and was in a dress. They were walking, and i saw the mom lift her daughter up onto her shoulders. the dress was up and you could see the girl's underwear because her legs were around the mother's neck. Is it improper to carry a young girl on your shoulders when she's in a dress?

le msunderstood my question before I don't want to force her to enjoy art and I never do art myself. I just htought it would be fun and educational for her and since she is not interested in crayons I wondered what other materials I could get for her so she might find something she does enjoy.

I am looking for a pink/purple stroller. I want it to have a tray in front of my daughter so she can eat snacks, adult cup holders, easy to push around, compact enough to fit in my trunk of my car, a space beneath it to put her diaper bag. I'm ok with the 5 point harness but I prefer just the lap belt. I want something that she is going to be comfy in but I dont want to spend more than a couple hundred dollars on it. I have been searching all morning! online and also lately when i go out and about. Her stroller that she has now has broken and I need to get a new one ASAP. Any advice from you is appreciated. She is 9 months old, about 20lbs and I'd like whatever I buy to last until shes outgrown strollers(probably 3 or so yrs old)

My auntys little four year old son has a thing about waking up two -three times a night and wanting to sleep with her, but when she takes him back to bed he starts wanting drinks and needing to go to the toilet. I suggested its attention seeking, but i dont have kids so dont really have a clue :-( Does anyone know why he keeps doing this everynight? Its been a nightly routine for the last four months. My aunt is getting really fed up of it now

Our child takes her PJs off as soon as we put her down. To stop this, we put her PJs on backwards, but it requires cutting off the feet. We'd rather buy new sleepers with the zipper in the back so she can't take them off. Please send any websites you know who sell back zip blanket sleepers. Thanks!

My 4 year old son has been diagnosed high functioning autistic. As his verbal skills and social skills are slowly improving, his ability to do other things has diminished somewhat. He used to have no problem with 50-60 piece puzzles, but now does have problems. He also seems to get frustrated by puzzles when in the past he would sit for hours until he finished one. Is this a good sign, or could it be the sign of another developmental problem?

This is so frustrating. My son knows the difference between peeing and pooping. He knows how to go to the bathroom. Well, lately he has been taking is diaper off and then poops on the floor. It is driving me crazy. He only does it when I am in another room. I feel that I am cleaning up after a dog. It is driving me crazy any suggestions. (No I am not going to beat my child either, so no answers that say that.)

i stay at home with the kiddos during the day then go to school full-time at night. i don't usually get to be until around 0100 and 0200. i get up around 0730. well, sometime inbetween all that my daughter gets up, everynight, and crawls in my bed. i usually get woke up with a foot in the face. so i pick her up and put her in her bed. sometimes she comes back, sometimes she doesn't. this has been going on for WEEKS. i don't get enough sleep as it is and getting up in the middle of the night to take care of all this is really getting to me. i'm exhausted. any suggestions on how i can help/make her stop doing this?

She's 16 months old and just as smart as a whip, but the ony thing she says that could even be close to something coherent is "mama", everything else is just sort of a high pitched shriek as she points her finger........The doctor said she should be saying 4-6 words by 16 months and she barely says one.
Anyone ever have a child with similar problems? and if so, did you find anything that helped them develop more quickly?
