Play Go Fish, it may not go exactly the way it is supposed to, but it is fun and helps them learn about numbers.
Play I spy, where you spot something and give clues for each other to guess what you spy.
Hide and seek in the house, sometimes they can really hide well and get you looking :)
Open up M Word and let him type letters, or play can you find the letter.... They love to do grown up things and will be so proud, when they have typed letters and you print it out. (Also educational).
Good Luck!

Here's a few things I like to do with my 3 year old: cooking and baking (she'll actually try things she makes), build a fort/tent, hide and seek, tag, catch, kick ball, read a story, help Mommy clean up. I just try to incorporate her into my daily activities. She helps me with all of my household chores - getting the mail, shopping, cleaning, cooking, washing dishes, dusting (give her a rag). It makes her feel like she has some responsibility and it keeps her mind active. We also do Hooked on Phonics several times a week. As a result, she just turned 3 and can read a few words, knows her colors and numbers, letters and sounds.

Build a fort out of kitchen chairs and a big blanket or sheet. Then fill it up with all thier stuffed animals and make it a clubhouse of sorts. It's also super fun to nap or sleep under it at night too!

There are lots of things to do inside like painting, my kids love to paint. Or just playing with them, Kids love tag, hide and seek, or just watching a good family movie or cartoon. My kids love it when we lay in my bed and just talk and when i tickle them as well as wrestle with them. sometimes u have to be creative like letting them help you when u bake cookies or cupcakes. Have Fun n enjoy.

Build a play room...turn him loose and let him have a blast. Children learn on their own with the toys they play. Let them be in their own world and when he wants to see you..he'll come out and play.

make paper airplanes, color them, and fly them around the house. If you have a staircase its even better cause you can throw them from up high.
