My 15 month old gave up her bottle at 10 months, but still drinks two bottles of milk at night. I have been told this is really bad. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can help her give it up without loosing anymore of my limited hours of sleep??

Well, you don't say how many ounces she's taking in, but how about you slowly decrease how much is in each bottle. She could just be used to drinking "two" bottles, so just decrease how much is in each bottle, until one bottle is basically empty. Then you'll be down to one bottle. Best of luck to you.

I loved the Avent bottle line. The nipples are interchangable with the sippy cup lids. What we did, was we first switched the lid and put it on the bottom base. Then, after a few nights, we just made the whoel switch to the sippy cup. Worked like a charm for both of our boys! Also, having milk at night is not bad as long as you brush her teeth afterwards otherwise the sugar from the milk, can lead to tooth decay. Good luck!

I'm sorry but at 15 months, I wouldn't be giving her a bottle. She needs to be switched to a sippy cup really soon. Also, if she eating solid foods, I wouldn't think she would need a two bottles at night. My daughter was off the bottle at 1 yr and she doesn't get up to eat because I give her frequent smalls meals throughout the day. Talk with you doctor to make sure she's getting enough calories during the day.

I'd say tke it away cold turkey. Yeah she shouldn't be on a bottle anymore. My son hasn't had a bottle since 12 months. She'll get over it in a day or two.

i dont think a bottle at night is bad, my 17month still has two bottles a day he was only weaned onto them from the breast at 1 and i am planning to let him go as long as he likes with them up to 2 1/2, he has a bottle before bed and then a story and then in bed. just give her a good dinner and maybe a snack (supper) depending on the time between dinner and bedtime and then just give her one bottle and then in bed. jarell has dinner at 5.30-6 has a bath , has a bottle, teeth, story and in bed at 7-7.30.
