I know of a girl that has a child and she doesnt have a job and then yet doesnt get any assistance. She is sleeping around w/ anyone so she can get pregnant with another child which she honestly doesnt need!

It has snowed here like 4 inches and it was like 5 deg. and her daughter peed in her pants and she made her walk to the car which was bout a five minute walk or longer and the little girl only had on a jacket and a pull up with boots.

She screams and yells and this little girl constantly and puts bad things in her head that the little girls father and new g/f has done to her.
When she is yelling at her he says get off me I will ******* beat your ***/ and bad thngs like that.

She may only get to eat once a day and she always is begging for food and the mother says NO you have had enough..

I am worried about the girl and the mom doesnt need another child. Her bank account if over drawn and she just keep writing bad checks. How do I help this little girl?

please i beg you with all of my heart , go to the social work services and report this . iam very hurt by this , she can be taken somewhere were she is loved and taken care off. you are the only one who can help her. just go to the police and ask them to refer you to the social services. you are no different from the woman who is abusing her child if you do not report this. just email me back telling me what you did about this issue. please do something. my email is(s27231412@tuks.co.za)

Call social services and report her imediatley. However, you must remember there is nothing they can do to stop her from having another child and you may need to call them again if she does succeed in getting pregnant again and has a baby. Also, social services does not generally remove a child off the bat unless the abuse and neglect are very severe and the parent refuses to corerect their problem. Generally, They will come out for an initial visit, check the house, talk to the mom and if the girl is old enough her as well, check the child for bruises, things like that. The mother and child will be assigned a case worker and that case worker will come up with a plan of action for the mother. Essentially it will be a list of do's and dont's: get a job or apply for assistance, feed the child at least 3 times a day, don't hit her, etc. Social services will also recomend counsiling and parenting classes. About once a month or so the case worker will meet with the mother, if no steps for improvement are shown then they will often step in and take the child. There is a chance the mother can get her daughter back if she takes all required measures and proves to a judge that she has become a fit parent. Usually though, once a child enters the system, they don't come out.
My point in explaining all this, is that once you call you can not expect the situation to be corrected imediatley. Anytime you witness anything shady, get on the phone and if you know the name of the case worker handling the case, ask to speak to her directly and explain your concerns to her. You will also need alot of patience becuase it can often take a good while untill the situation is fully rectified.

Also, you have said you dont think the little girl is getting enough to eat, sometimes what looks like neglect with things like that is really just a case of the mother being stressed and not having enough money for food. If she is as bad off financially as you think she is, she may WANT to feed her daughter more but is trying to stretch their money and food supply as far as it can go. I would assume that since she is getting no assistance she has pride issues standing in her way. If you can afford to, help her out anonymously. Maybe you can clear your cupboards of things you know you will never use anyway, fill a box up and leave it at her doorstep every so often. Or talk to someone at your church or a local church, they often will make food donations as well.

As these people have already said, call social services! Call them right now and tell them everything. Don't worry about losing a friend (if this girl is your friend) the child's welfare is MUCH more important. Please contact them immediately. Done let this go on because from the sounds of it, the mother is not capable of raising the one she has, and it could almost be too late for the current child. Please help the little girl!

You should call social services and report the mother. The child deserves better than to live with a mother like that...really she isn't a mother if she treats her child like that. You could even contact the child's father (if he has anything to do with the child) and tell him what is going on.. he could get custody of the child. Please get the child help!!!

Well from a fathers pov, I think you should let social services know what is going on. Don't put it off. This mother needs a serious wake up call. If you do nothing , what you are doing is sealing the little girls fate.

Call Children's Protective Services, DFS or whatever they happen to call it in your area. This child is being abused and neglected. No child should have to live like that. I seriously doubt speaking to the mother will do any good with things being this bad. If she wants help DFS will protect the child and help the mother find help to sort herself out. You simply cannot ignore it though.
