In my opinion, from attending MANY parties at these places, I think they are all equally important! All kids love the ball pit, and the slide. The ball pit will require lots of cleaning to keep it sanitary! The slide is often a hit for the adults as well, at least at the parties I have attended! The ones I have been to, however, didn't really have a cafe for parents. They have chairs and seating areas through the fun areas, but not a seperate area. I enjoyed that part, because while there is an area for you to sit and chat, you area also still in the middle of the event so you don't miss anything!
Good luck, but be ready to put forth ALOT of effort into this if you want it to work out!

The ball pit is a haven for all sorts of disgusting germs and disease. I'd think seriously about whether or not you can properly maintain it before you put one in.
Definitely a slide! And I think the cafe area is also a must, particularly if you can set it up around the perimeter of the play area so parents can easily keep an eye on their kids.
Think safety and health first. You'll want some plan to clean and disinfect all the equipment regularly, even if there are no health department guidelines for it.

Ball pits can be giant pits of filth unless taken care of properly. The slide and the cafe sound like great ideas. My concern is being able to sit at a table and see where my daughter is at all times without having to wander around the place carrying all of our belongings. If you come up with a place where the parents can relax and watch what the kids are doing at the same time you have a gold mine. Good luck

In our community, we have a gymnastics center that doubles as a fun place for the kids, when classes aren't in session. They used to have a ball pit, but they got rid of it. Now they have a long trampoline with a pit of foam squares at the end. It's a lot of fun, for both the kids and parents. And it's more "hygienically correct". (If that's a word.) It's obviously protected on both sides, and the kids can jump or run their way to the pit. I go all the time, and I've never seen anyone fall off or get hurt. And if they do, the flooring is the shock-absorbing cushioned type (for little gymnasts), so a fall shouldn't be that big of a deal.

First importance is safety. Your centre must be a safe place for the little ones. Not only that, it must be colourful, kids music and better if you can include something they can learn out of the session....be it mentally or physically. As for the parents..dont worry about them...If they feel its really good for their kids, they will send them there no matter how uncomfortable they are (as in no cafe and things like tat)... You can also include parents in the session...I am assuming that the kids are around 1-3 yrs old

As a parent I would be looking for cleanliness, security and safe toys. Kids love slides but a ball pit is very hard to keep clean (especially if a little darling decided to be sick in it!).. Best of luck!

That ball pit is disgusting. Don't even bother with that. I would say the kids love climbing and slides and tunnels. They also love games - lots of them. Personally - to go into those places, my favorite part is the bar (and I'm not that big of a drinker). Good Luck.
