I have 2 cousins. One is 4 and the other is 2. Their mom is 8 months pregnant and is probally having a hard time keeping up with them and stuff. The boys need something that will them busy, occupied, and quiet for my cousin (their mom)'s sake. The boys are fascinated by cars and got two little fake ones for Christmas 2006. The oldest loves to be read to as far as I can tell. I'm sending some cars (ones they wont put in their mouths and get hurt with hopefully) and 2 books. I would like to send more but I dont know what else to send. I would send some markers but I worry they'll make a mess or they wont keep the lids on them. After all the oldest of the two is four. They are typical little boys who love cars and stuff. Anybody got little boys who can give me some advice? I'll check with their mom to see if they like superheroes or not. All suggestions are appreciated.

An educational video game like Leapster would be perfect. Their mom would be happy that they are learning, and the boys will have fun and will be kept busy and quiet for hours. Many categories, so you can find one that interests them!

Oh- they have these video games for toddlers and EVERY time they go to their cousin's they are HOOKED on it. They have Power Rangers, Pooh, and much more. It's a joystick that plugs into your tv. I'm not sure the brand. . .
The only other thing that keeps their attention for long is a cartoon movie like Sesame Street, Dora, or Carebears

Oh- and I have a 3 year old boy, a 2 year old girl and 2 nephews ages 3 and 6

Hello! Kaitlyn32.
Buy them some little packets of seeds and get mum to help them become little gardners they look forward to watching their little plants grow from baby leaves into big leaves.
Send the money for mum to buy things which you cannot mail.
Such as a fruit tree they can grow their own lemons or mandarines.
If they don't have a large garden area they can be grown in pots.
Maybe a tree which attracts Butterflys into the garden.
A bird bath in a shady area of the garden will bring the birds around they can enjoy sitting quietly watching them ot waiting for them .
Make it the elder ones responsability to put the fresh water in a couple of times a day mum will need to supervise naturally but it is something even mum can enjoy sitting with a nice hot cup of tea..
Take care!

Crayola Color Wonder markers and fingerpaints are great from a Mom point of view...they only work on the special paper and don't mark on clothes, carpet, etc. My 4 year-old is really in to easy puzzles...you can get wooden ones for younger kids. Usually they end up putting them together a few times before they get bored!:) My 2 year-old likes cars too...we get him little "Chuck" trucks. They have cute little faces on them, and aren't small enough to swallow.
Have fun shopping!

Crayola makes majic markers that only colors on their special paper, if you choose to do this I suggest sending lots of paper. Also may puzzles, leapfrog toys.Superheros are a fav. for boys any acton figures that look cool really.4 yr olds can keeo things together, they arent such babies at that age.Coloring books are a good idea if they like to do this.

Ask their mom what they are into. Some of them like to watch videos. Also, it might help to find someone...relative, church folks, neighbor, or another mom...who can help by either watching them or pooling resources.
