My 5 year old started not liking his own daddy, I quit my job of 16 years to stay at home, I only worked part time anyway so I have always been pretty much home with the children. but one day our 5 year old son started saying he didn't like daddy he liked mommy more and didn't know why. He has also developed a temper and will not listen when I ask him to do something, he has been in time out and has spankings but just looks at me and laughs. Please help me get my child under control, with some advice.

Sounds like Father and Son need some guy time. He has probably just formed a stronger bond with you since you have been the primary care giver. Try to find out the root of his temper and him "not liking" daddy. Encourage alone time with them so that they can bond as well.

My son had a bad temper when he was young. It turned out that he had learning disabilities and had ADD. If your son is only 5, it may be too early to have him tested for learning disabilities, but you may want to ask your pediatrician. My son is now 21

you cannot do nothing about it he will only like his mommy more... so your gonna have to stick with it..

Please try harder to find out why your little boy has negative feelings towards his dad.
