my daughter is 17 months old and has had diareah (i cant spell) for the past 48 hours....it got the worst last night when she was pooping water (yellow with a few little "curd" type things) every 15 minutes for about 4 hours.... well when she went to bed it stoped and this morning it was a little thicker but not much....and now its compleetly watery again.... and about every 15 min.....also she has only had three sippys today wich is alot less than normal and she hasnt had any wet diapers today and she only had like 3 yesterday (which is about 4 too little for her normal diaper pattern...)
i called her dr but the answering service cant paige her and cant tell me what to do either..... she wont take pedialytes or anything and she wont eat much...help...

The funniest thing you have ever heard or seen a child or adult do. I have bunches of storys, Which you would expect from a mom of Five kids ages 6, 4 y/o twins, 3, 2, and pregnant with a boy due in two months! Yesterday my youngest told her daddy that he was a stinky fart butt and needed to buy a monkey for his french fries. She was delerious from a fever. Then my youngest boy woke up sceaming and when I asked him what was wrong, he said I needed to fank my mommy for my hogy, whatever that means. Then a couple weeks ago my twin girls gave me a piece of paper they found in the trash at day care that said will you marry me? Oh, the laughter kids bring. Tell me your absolute funniest experiences!

Well, my daughter just turned two and has to have her binky (pacifier). She doesn't use it all day at daycare but as soon as I pick her up, she asks for it. She also won't fall asleep at home without it, and if she does by accident, she wakes up in the middle of the night crying.... I know it is time to throw it out. The doctor says that it will start to affect her teeth and speech if she doesn't rid of it soon... But she is my last baby and I can't seem to make her throw it out... Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

My daughter is very smart. She can keep her pants dry but then she'll have days like today where she pooped in her pants twice and peed in them twice. When I ask her why, she tells me she's not big enough, that her 2 yr old sis told her to, or she just stares at me. I am going to call the doctor tomorrow to make sure it is not a physical problem. I am at the end of my rope. I have tried rewards,I have tried to be neutral, I have tried punishment. I just don't have any ideas about motivating her to use the potty. She is in Montessori School with kindergardeners 5 days a week for 3 hrs a day. She has only had two accidents at school. While the big kids may be providing some motivation while she is there, they are not helping at home.

I lost my mother to Alzhemer's last year. She was my best friend and everything that a mother should be. When she died, she left behind a chihuahua. I promised her that I would take care of the dog. I now have a 16 month old son and the chihuahua has snapped at him a few times. He growls at my son and I know the best thing to do is give the dog away. He is a little old lady lap dog, not a family dog. I also feel that if I give the dog away, I'm going back on my word to my mother. I know that I'll feel guilty if and when the dog leaves. Part of me feels that the dog is my last connection to my mother, as stupid as that sounds. I want to set a good example for my son. I was raised that your word was your bond, but I can't have him bitten by the dog. Has anyone had a similar experience?

My daughter is 31/2 and we go to church reguarly sundays and wednesdays where she has her own designated classes to go to. she used to be a little clingy from about 12-24 mos but since her 2nd b-day she has been happily going to her classes where she does crafts and has snacks and has alot of fun. she has had no issues w/ seperation anxiety or clinginess for 11/2 years!!!! Now all of the sudden every time I want to leave her at class she cries and screams and kicks and even if I am firm and leave her there she wont stop and they have to call me back! she also took a preschool gymnastics class and at the 2nd class started crying for me and wouldnt go back..I watched the whole time and noone said or did anything traumatic. she has not undergone any major life changes or stressors at all in the family. She begged me to take a ballet class which we started last friday but I really need to "leave the room" next time as parents are not supposedto observe. im at my wits end!! HELP!

Okay this all started last week. My daughter is 23 months. She has ALWAYS been an excellent sleeper. She will be the first one in bed with her blankie. All of the sudden she does not want to go to bed. she will scream if we try to put her on the bed. anything that has to do with sleep or nap she suddenly wants nothing to do with and will scream until she gets her way. I don't know what to do. the tantrums are nothing compared to this. Those are actually easy for me to deal with it's just this whole sleeping thing. Another thing though, she has always loved bathtime. now she screams! I'm so tired of this. I even took her to the doctor to make sure she wasen't sick and he said she was perfectly fine. she plays hard enough in the day to be tired enough to go to bed, plus I only try to put her down when she looks exhaused and it still doesn't work. HELP ME!

my 4 yr old recently thought he would look cute if he colored his tummy and belly button with markers in the most interesting bulls-eye pattern. I asked him "why"? the response I got was "so nickie has a target to throw the ball"...lol any other funny/naughty things your kids did with markers or crayons?

The other night in the bath tub he peed thought it was great and then actually pulled at it and grunted and concentrated and ended up peeing 3 more little times in the bath tub. When would be a good time and a good way to introduce the potty.
