I love my son, he's my life but just lately I'm so snappy with him I just have no patience with him.
I'm getting no joy out of being with him & I feel like I just wanna curl up in a ball & cry. I catch myself telling him off for just being a normal toddler. I don't know why I'm doing this. He only sees his dad for an hour or so in the eves cos dad works a lot so all he really has is me.
How can I stop being like this, I feel so bad I know I'm not a good mum I don't need to be told that I just need to know why I'm being so impatient & moody when I have such an adorable little boy, he deserves so much better

He never seems excited about the group activities they are doing. He is an only child, so I don't know if he doesn't feel comfortable around other children. At home, he won't sing with me or be silly like that. Its like he's an old man. Also, he doesn't like to play with his toys really. He would rather unplug things or play in the sink. Could something be wrong with him?

Of course, he won't eat any meat, fruits, or vegetables. He freaks out whenever new food is intoduced to him. He won't even let me sit at the table with him and eat my dinner if I'm having something he doesn't like. I have tried incentive charts, giving him no dinner if he chooses not to eat what I give him. What can I do to make eat more foods? It sucks to go to a restaurant and have to pack a meal for him to bring. Has anyone had experience with this problem? Thanks!

She also enjoys watching CSI and Dr. 90210 she's really smart and wants to know whats going on. So I was just wondering your alls opinion would you allow it?

My very intelligent 2-year old daughter still acts like an infant when it comes to putting things in her mouth. Some of our less sturdy items get ruined from her bad habit. Any ideas of what I can try to break her from this?

For the last four days, my son has been puking after lunch. Even after a few bites today. He has not done this at breakfast, or with his snacks or dinner. He is not acting sick by any means, and doesn't puke alot. I thought it would be simple if it was the same food but Monday it was a Ham Sandwich, Tues. Chicken Noodle Soup, Wednesday Spaghetti...you can see its a variety. I wonder if he his doing this for attention from the babysitter ? Do you think that is possible ? Why else would this start all of a sudden? He doesn't have any allergies, hes not acting sick, no temperature...he's running around playing afterward. Any suggestions? Should I take him to a doctor ?

Our child photographer claims you can, when she offered our kids a treat if they behaved for the session. She meant after the session. They took this to mean treat NOW and melted down when one wasnt provided. She claims this works for her all the time - which I think is a load of $@Q! Plus, our reading had said not to bribe with food, as this creates future bad eating habits associating food with rewards. So they basically hadnt been exposed to this concept.

Since my son has been old enough to roll over in his sleep he has thrashed around and literally goes from one end of the crib to the other in the middle of the night. Is this normal or healthy? I am concerned he will still be doing this when I try to move him to a toddler bed.

Anyone who has ever worn shoes has a chance of knowing this.

Consider two lengths of shoe soles (Back to Front/ Heel to Toe):

15cm
22cm

What 2 UK shoe sizes would be represented by these lengths.

In other words, if a child has a foot of length 15 cm or 22 cm, what shoe size would they be equivalent to.

My son is 22 months (I know, getting close to the terible 2's) he has been hitting for a while and "no" doesn't work. I try to say to him please don't hit, it hurts, but he just laughs at me thinking it is a game. We think he may be too young for time outs and spanking is out of the question! His temper is bad too, if he doesn't get his way he will throw himself on the floor and pout! When I pick him up he fights and struggles with me. Any suggestions?

My daughter is asking me questions about race and skin color. She's 5 years old! I'm 31 and I dont think I became aware or cared of race until I was a teenager. So I'm trying to explain to her that people have all different skin types, even in the same family. Just trying to disregard skin color. Race is a bit tougher. Any ideas on how to teach her simply ( a way that a 5 year old can understand) that all people are different and the same, and we should treat and think of each other as a brotherhood of human kind? I'm not looking for politically correct either. I think that's garbage.

The oral medicine tasted like bubble gum. I've tasted it and so has my wife. Where to the point of having to hold her down and inject it into her mouth but the little stink spits most of it out. A shot is not an opition for this medicine. There is a pill but again she refuses to take it. Any real ideas? We need help!!

I realize that all babies learn at different paces. I'd like to know at what age yours started to learned, and how you went about teaching him/her. Id' also like to know MORE or LESS how long it took for him/her to master soon feeding (if ever, yeah right!). I also realize that they are likely to make a mess in order to learn. I have a hard time NOT controlling the situation. I really don't mind that he spills food on the floor or dets dirty. I just like meals to be done with as quickly as possible. I know I need to change that believe me I am working on it. Any advice, and please be nice.

I've tried altering diet, supplements, fiber, nothing seems to help. I don't know if it's a slow digestive tract, allergy, etc...
my doctor doesn't seem to be concerned, but I am.

I am home most of the time with my 2 & 3 year old girls. They go to Montessori School for 3 hours each day while I take college classes. We are home for the rest of the day except for the occassional outing/errand. I am having a hard time balancing time with the kids, housework, homework, and time for myself. What do my kids need from me and how much time should they be spending entertaining themselves? How do other mom's spend their days? I would be interested in knowing what a typical day is like for other moms.
