I have had to forcefully give my child medicine for the last 16 years and it's a chore! All I can tell you is make sure you tell your daughter you hate giving it to her as much as she hates taking it and continue giving it to her. I still use a syringe and sometimes he spits it out, but I make sure I have enough time in the mornings to give it to him again. I do this 3 times a day and I still hate it after all these years. this is a job that you and your wife will never like, but if it's an ongoing treatment, you do get used to it. Keep up the good fight and keep in mind it's for her own good.

i do no longer endure in ideas weights for infants, yet 36 pounds would not sound like a topic for a 4 year previous. She sounds okey for breakfast (toast) and lunch (sandwich, salad or finger nutrition) so the only subject is meat and veg at dinner. have you ever asked her what she might decide to eat. tell her she desires to decide for a meat which you have available. She won't be waiting for crimson meat, yet she probable will eat rooster or consistent with hazard meat loaf so see in case you will detect a meat she would be ready to eat. you additionally can ought to barter vegetable so initiate with those she eats as finger ingredients.

My kids willl not take medicine either. What works for my 3 and 4 yr old is we give them hersheys chocolate syrup (stuff you put in milk) we mix their medicine and the syrup. Of course you have to give them more chocolate then medicine but it works!

OTC meds or a prescription?
Can the drugstore put a different flavor in it that she might like better? Talk to the pharmacist.
Can you get something like those "thin strips" that dissolve in their mouth?
Bribery? A drink of something she really likes afterwards? Ice cream or a popsicle afterwards?

If it's a prescription, there are other flavors that the pharmacy can mix with it if she doesn't like bubble gum. It never was my favorite flavor.
Also, sometimes you just have to try bribery! It works.

I agree with the reward for taking it. Also if you hide it in food, don't react or stare at her while she is eating otherwise she'll know somethings up.

Kool-aide? I had the same with my son, I would give it, he would throw it up. I started putting it into kool-aide and he was file with that. I also let him pick the flavor. We are now using chewables.
