I have a 14 month old son who loves nothing more than to get hugs and kisses (although when he gives kisses, they're usually slobbery messes. That's fine with me though--they're still VERY sweet!) and a 2 1/2 year old who wants to do nothing more than run around and play. It's almost like he doesn't have time to give his old Ma a hug and a kiss every once in a while. :) Does this ever come back??

my 21 month old boy was playing with his own shadow. he was nocking on the wall and would move up and down along the wall as if trying to fool his own shadow. What is the age when kids find out they have a shadow or even pay any attention at the fact that they have a shadow.

My son- to be 4 yrs makes me nervous, when it comes to meal time. He has always been a difficult kid -when it comes to eating and drinking. It takes him atleast 1.5 or 2 to finish his meals. And refuses to swalow and chew. I have hired this nanny and he seems to eat by himself when we are not at home- but when he sees us, he wants us to feed him. It is not that i baby him... i yell and shout at him as he just refuses to eat on his own... He knows he needs to eat to grow big and smart. But simply doesn't do it. What should i do?

Hey parents! I was wondering what's considered abuse and what's not. So Could you list the many things that's considered abuse that didn't used to be considered abuse?

Like putting a toddler less than two years old in his/her room when he/she screams and let her bawl and scream in her room? Is that abuse?

I don't have any kids of my own but I saw that on tv.

What is the Disney cartoon?
My son watched this cartoon the other day and he loved it. It was a clay like cartoon (mix between Wallace and Gromit and a toon) about the character overstating his pumpkin. And, invited the town for a pumpkin pie but didn't have a big enough pumpkin to make. The characters sounded Australian and it looked like they lived in the Outback.

Can someone tell me the toon?

I'm trying to see into the future and where possible instill good habits or at least avoid the bad habits. What's your best advice/tip for this? For example, my friend's toddlers stay in their room and play on weekend mornings until an adult comes to get them. That allows mom & dad a few minutes of peace in the a.m. What do you or wish you had done?

At his checkup the doctor said that the foreskin aroudn his penis was reattaching to the head. Right there on the table he had to pull the foreskin off my son's penis. Since I am not extremely educated on the male anatomy, it is somethign I didn't notice so who knows how long it was like that. We are now back to putting vaseline on every diaper change for the next week. What causes this to happen?

I am a nanny and look after a little boy aged 2 who has an older brother and sister.
I have just started toilet training him and for the first 2 weeks he was brilliant at it and loved going now though when ever i mention it he runs away and bursts out crying when i put him on the toilet.
I know his parents are quiet lazy to be blunt with him and do not encourage him at weekends at all and think this could be the reson and I know that a potty would be better but his parents dont see the point in buying one when there is a toilet! but have you got any other ideas of what could have caused this change and how to get him back to his old ways?

Shes 1 1/2 now. I wouldnt want to switch her to a normal bed quite yet. I'm afraid she would wake up in the middle of the night and be around the house or something. About what age is good? How did your child handle it?

When should you stop feeding a baby baby food? - My daughter is 11 months old and eats both baby food and real food. She does great on real food and the only reason I see to feed her baby food is convienence. Is it okay to stop feeding her the baby food? I don't see any reason why not but I really haven't heard anything on the topic. Thanks in advance.
