Sounds like an allergy called hydrotix eczema. It is a hereditary skin condition. It is aggrivated by humidity. Is it humid where you live right now? On most people it just looks like dry skin on their hands and causes minor peeling between the fingers or toes (but it's not athletes foot).

The doctor can perscribe a cream for it.

Hydrotix Eczema doesn't get in their mouth and doesn't spread up the arms and is absolutely not contagious. It is itchy to the person who has it though. Some people take benedryl to help stop the itching but I don't think you can give a 1 yr. old benedryl.

Either way, you need to take him to the doctor because it might be something very different.

sounds like hand foot and mouth, if you cant get to a doctor a least take him to a pharmacy and they'll tell you. Don't panic its NOT the same as the foot and mouth disease that sheep and cattle get! my son got it from a daycare centre and as soon as he had his antibiotics within 2 days it had cleared. make sure he finishes the course though. My sons were mostly in his mouth and it was extremely painful for him so please have it checked before it gets to bad!!

Could he possibly have "Hand, Foot and Mouth" Virus? That is what it sounds like. It is not treated with antibiotics and just runs it's course. Does he have anything in or around his mouth and on the tops/soles of his feet? Call your doc and they should be able to tell you for sure.

Are you sure they are water blisters? You may want to check with his doctor or maybe just have the nurse practitioner look at him.

I agree,it might be hand, foot, and mouth disease. Just to be on the safe side,I would wash all the toys in the house, and don't let him put his hands in his mouth as it could spread into his mouth.and bring him to the doc asap.

If he is a gymnast or plays on monkey bars or on a playground they came from not using chalk. Don't worry about them they'll go away over time.
