My brother has a little girl and has wanted nothing to do with her for 4 years and now he is married and tries to get his daughter to want to stay with him but she screams and cries. As a result she gets spanked a good bit. She has been living with my parents this entire time and now all of a sudden he wants her all the time. (because of his wife) I don't know how to help the situation and I hardly ever get to see her anymore! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the tranistions better?

I see so many responses about nursing toddlers that include words like "creepy", "sickening", "abusive". What exactly is so offensive about caring for a child in the natural way? Keep in mind that the worldwide average for weaning from the breast is 4.2 years. Do you agree that Western culture is in the dark when it comes to natural parenting? I think it's a little gross to see kids carrying around bottles with festering formula in it....think of all the bacteria that are feasting on that before the little one does!!!

I was just curious. It may sound mean or whatever, but I took my two girls off the bottle at 9 months old. They had sippy's with the line that shows the ounces, so they still got formula. and it did not upset them, and they took to it with no problems. I have seen 3 year olds with bottles in their mouths, and I do not agree with it. But as the saying goes.....different strokes, for different folks.

I am getting my 15 months son his first pillow. I was thinking about getting him a travel size one, which is 12.5" X 16". Would that be good untill he's 5 or older, or should I just get him a regular size pillow with a lite filling, which is 20" X 25"?

We have a 3 year old son and a baby due in Late Jan. We were wondering if any of you have used the Sit and stand strollers? I have seen them in Target. If you have or know someone who has, what did you think about it? or is it just worth it to get a single stroller and have him follow me? I use the stroller around town and in the mall. He sits for most of the time but, he dose like to walk too!

Thanks for the help!
