Lol, this child takes off his shoes and loses them at daycare or anywhere. He Lost 2 pairs at school then one pair at the mall this weekend. Yes, I put lace ups on him but he gets them off. This is a real problem. Now he has hidden one of my flip flops and I need it. Any advice?

My child is a four year old who snores mostly throughout the night and will sleep through an atomic blast. She has said more recently about feeling tired after getting home from daycare. This has been going on for the last 3 or 4 months. She normally gets 10 hrs of sleep a night, and we keep her mostly on a strict sleep schedule. She seems like in a daze most of the time, attention span is waning, and even though it has always been a struggle, she doesnt have the safety concerns that most kids have. For example, she will try and run in a parking lot (mainly cause she is excited), but she has been told about being careful mutiple times. Even though my wife and I think that she would eventually be in gifted and talented, this recent behavior has caused some concern.

What doctor (specialist) should be seen about this? Has anyone experienced this before? Improvement seen after treatment? Any changes in the home to be tried before seeing a doctor?

Okay I breast fed my son until he was two years old and I brushed his teeth even when he only had gums but I still failed to conquer the tooth decay...So when he was 2 and1/2 I took him to the dentist to have the twilight sedation and the dentist gave him fillings on three of his front teeth, a month later one of the fillings fell out so I had to take him for another sadation and a month later two fell out...I had initally felt uneasy about having any of this done but now we have moved to another state (Arizona) and I don't know any mother's to ask about credible pediatric dentists because I took him to one office out here and the dentist was incredibly unprofessional and I am at a loss because this is my baby I am talking about here...PLEASE help.

Hi to all the experienced moms and dads out there! My daughter is 4 years old and MAY have have early signs of chicken pox. Have to wait and see if more red spots appear. She feels fine so far. She goes to day care and I know it's very possible for kids to get contagious infections in daycare and schools. Any suggestions on how I can help ease any discomfort she might get or just something in general that would may things go easier...thanks! I also have a 13 month old child. Is this too young for him to get it?

We do NOT live in the UNITED States so therefore we do not get the same vaccinations as 'ya'll' do! Unfortunately, Americans seem to take for granted that everyone on here lives in America. I am American, but live in Europe.

As most people know he is dead. :o( It is so sad. Hubby & I have been very blessed to meet him 6 years ago at the LA Zoo. To make a long story short, Hubby knows the head of the zoo, Mike Dee. And we were invited to meet him and listen to him speak there. So we have pictures of us with him, terri and Bindi. So our son knows who he is. our son is 4 months older then their son Bob. I told him that he is with the angels and that he will watch over all the people who love animals. But, I don't know what else to tell him. Any ideas?

PS: Does anybody have the address to his zoo? I can't get on to his web site.

My son gets hand me downs from friends of ours. His drawers are overflowing. I want to pare it down, so I am wondering people's opinion about how many shorts, pants shirts, etc a three year old actually needs.

She has an appointment in 2 weeks but I was just wondering if any of your children had to have surgery for an umbilical hernia? Everything that I have read has said that is usually goes away between 12-18 months and her's is still popping out.

I have a 3 1/2 year old boy who is biting his friends at school. With MUCH work, he has brought the biting down to once a week or so, but now he has added pushing and pinching and talking back. He doesn’t come from a home that has violence. Any parenting tips to curb this behavior?

Yesterday evening, my 3 yr old son touched the burner on the stove after I got finished cooking dinner. Today, he has a huge blister on his hand, sticking off his hand about 1/2 inch. (maybe a little less). I have put aloe vera burn relief on it, and it doesn't hurt him unless he hits it on something, should I pop the blister? My mom says I should pop it after dark, while he is sleeping. Any suggestions? It is seriously a HUGE blister. I feel horrible about it, and was going to take him to the hospital, but my mom said it wasn't necessary, just to let it blister up then pop it. I would rather if you could refrain from rude comments, b/c I feel bad enough, and know I should have prevented him from touching it. Thanks!

My bf's daughter is a PICKY PICKY eater. We have her with us for a month, and her eating habits have gone awry since she stayed with her mom for a year.

She wont touch anything except yogurt, cheese, rice, cereal, chips, peanut butter sandwiches, milk, and cold hot dogs.

You try to give her anything else and she screams, "I dont like it!!" even if she has never tried it before. And then it ends up on the floor or on the table. If you dont give her what she wants, she'll just starve and not care.

Obviously this diet is POOR, and she hasnt gone poo in 3 days due to it. She was crying holding her bum saying, "Owee owee!"

I tried giving her fruit, veggies, healthier meats, she wont even open her mouth. How do we get her to eat better so she wont have this problem again?
