Department for Human Services in your area should have a list of day cares licensed by the state on their website. I'm not sure if they will have prices listed, but you could at least get the phone numbers that way and call the ones that are the most convenient to you.

I wasn't able to find prices on the internet...you really do have to call around. Especially in CT - the prices vary widely depending on where you live and what kind of childcare/preschool you are looking for. One place I looked at was over $300 per week (daycare center), while another was $180 per week (in someone's house) - and that was in the same town! Good luck!

most preschools won't give prices over the internet because they want you to come in and see it first. they don't want comparison shopping. preschools are businesses like any other.

Go to you local Pre-School, the one you prefer, and check everything out. Most Pre-Schools and Head Start programs base what you pay on your income. If you don't know of any Pre-Schools, type in Pre-Schools and then the area code you live in on a search. Good luck, my daughter starts Head Start tomorrow.
