lazytowns philosophy is 'hey kids dont sit and watch tv- get out and exersize- but watch our show first'..... is it me or is there a bit of hypocracy here?

The Wiggles, Tellitubbies, Thomas the Tank, Doodlebops, Dora and Diego are driving me crazy lately

I hate Barney (his voice and the sickly sweet kids!) and Sponge Bob too.

But I like a few ones - the best is Stanley (with his fish Dennis and his adventures involving various animals).

I also liked a few shows on CBeebies (BBC's show for kids) like the one where they teach kids to use sign language and Big Cook Little Cook where kids learn to make simple dishes

I could go on and on with this one...I work at a daycare and sometimes I just want to rip my hair out when we have TV time and watch things such as the Wiggles or Bear in the Big Blue House, Spongebob Squarepants, Barney and Friends...honestly, I could go on and on and on. I dont have a problem with cartoons, I can watch American Dad, Family Guy, Simpsons...but anything THAT stupid...ugh, I guess its just my age that seperates me from the humor and low learning skills shown on kids cartoons...Oh yeah...and Sesame Street. I cannot stand Elmo's voice. I honestly would like to choke him to death. LOL...j/k but it is annoying!

Elmo, definitely can't stand any Elmo segments on Sesame Street....and Dragon Tales makes me want to tear my hair out...on the other hand, Jakers! is hysterical, Mel Brooks makes an excellent sheep, it actually teaches different types of storytelling to kids, and I can actually get a load of laundry folded.

Barney and SpongeBob definitely top my list. I dislike most of the newer cartoons, and I can tolerate single episodes of Blues Clues but I hate the "repetition is how children learn so let's play this episode over, and over, and over" concept.

Hm...Teletubbies takes the cake for me. My 21 month old is mesmerized with it and I wish I knew WHY!! Also, teletubbies, calliou, oobi. I can handle most anything else.
