He is 21 months old, and normally his dad is home all day with him. Today,i stayed home so my hubby could go to a Dr.s appointment. He asked me for juice, but I decided it was time for milk. He saw he got milk and started throwing a fit. I just realized he always asks for juice. The last time I gave him milk, he cried then too.

I have three boys ages 7 years old, 6 years old and 20 months old. My youngest (the 20 month old) has just recently begun throwing awful fits. If he does not get his way he screams as loud as he can and sometimes throws himself on the floor kicking and screaming. My other 2 boys did not do this. Does anyone have any good advice on how to handle this and what kinds of discipline techniques would be appropriate?

I am looking to take care of children in my home. I am college educated and have a teachers certificate and want to watch only two-three kids, to keep the focus on each child as much as possible. Please let me know what you pay/charge weekly for child care services and what ages child you have/take care of. Thanks!!

i was watching my little cousin (just turned 3) a couple days ago. i was leaning back and he started lifting up my shirt and kssing my stomach. all of a sudden he said ow ow and was holding himself. i thought he had to pee so i helped him take off his pullup, and he had an erection. then he sat on top of me. at this point, i got freaked out and got him off of me. and then earlier today he did the same thing! i didnt even know boys could have an erection until puberty! is this a sign of sexual abuse? what is this behavior? i am really freaked out by it... it seems awful sexual for a 3 year old...

My daughter is 17 months old and shows some signs of being ready for the potty. However, when we try to get her to sit on it without a diaper she freaks out. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any suggestions to help get her over this? She loves sitting on the potty with her diaper, it's just when she's got nothing on. I know 17 months is a little young, but I figured since she's showing some interest, it couldn't hurt to try to start now. Thanks!

I have an active, very sweet (but loud as a banshee when upset) 2 year old daughter. We are taking a long plane trip cross country in about a week. I am running out of creativity - here are the ideas I have already come up with -- Any other ideas? I am thinking small and very entertaining...

Portable DVD player with her fav. cartoons
New board books (I have five she has not seen)
Crayons & paper
Stickers & sticker book
Small tub of Play Doh
Finger Puppets

Other ideas? Most 2 year olds have the attention span of a gnat, so anything that keeps her attention is GOLDEN to me.

Recently, my husband has heard, and I have been reading that autism could be related to the vaccination that your child gets at 15 months. I am scared now, whether to get it or not to get it. Any advice?

Everytime I ask my 2-year-old son to pick up this toys (or when he doesn't get what he wants), he'll say "no want" and lays down on the floor. When you go to pick him up, he just lets his body go limp. It drives me absolutely crazy! How can I get him to stop doing this?

Okay. For some time now we have had to put our daughter to bed and let her cry herself to sleep. She stands in there and says.."get down please, get down please". We do not go back in and she is still in her crib. How do we get her to go to bed without crying herself to sleep every night. Also, when should I move her to a toddler bed? We have no idea since she won't even sleep in the crib so when we move her to the big bed we think she will just climb out and go back to playing. What do we do? Please help.

My 12 month old daughter just learned how to crawl right before she turned 11 months, she was doing good at pulling herself up, at least I have seen her do it several times, but now she wont do it. She won't even stand and hold on to our coffee table if i put here there. BUT she will walk around if you hold her hands sometimes.(cant walk alone yet.) She has never had a problem with this untll now, and Im just concerned. She would rather sit down and crawl then stand up. And she hasn't really figured out how to cruise around the furnature, she just stands.

Her pediatrician says that she's "Fine"
No, she didn't get hurt.
And no, she wasnt' a preemie.

She has been asking to sit on it before and after her bath and even if she has gone or doesn't need to go, she doesn't want to move! She is using it as a stall tactic about going to bed. How do I encourage using the potty but not allow her to con us into staying up an extra hour? (She'll sit there for 20 minutes!)
