erections can begin very young actually (less than a year), and are completely normal. I'm a new father of a boy and have learned a little bit about the subject (had to; didn't circumcise the boy and lets say I don't much about that).
now I wouldn't jump to conclusions, but an early interest in sexuality is a sign of abuse, but it isn't an indicating sign on its own
as for normal boy behavior...I definately remember being curious, aware and interested by age 5 if that helps

I am the mother of two sons, now grown - ages 21 and 16. Each of them had erections when infants. They had no sex thoughts. It is perfectly normal. The erection may be a "re-action" to the emotion of love (non-sexual). But it is just a part of being a boy. As puberty comes, the sex thought will bring on the erection - but so will other things. It's normal.

I have a 3 year old and he occasionally gets errections. I've checked with my son's doctor about it, and they are all normal. He's just learning his body. Be thankful it all works!
As far as abuse goes, unless there is some verbal affirmation of knowing about sexual situations or keeping secrets, I'd say its probably not abuse. At 3 years old, the verbal skills are good enough give you an indication of what he does and does not know. But think about it, how many times have we blown rasberries on a babies belly as a sign of affection? He might not have been aiming for boobs, and just been imitating the belly kisses he's seen or been given.

Well once I saw my cousin like he was having sex or something with my big pooh bear, I think it's a natural thing but you should talk to his parents because he might be watching something that he shouldn't, his behavior it's normal but until some point and it's good to reassure that he's not getting that from another person.
I don't think it's sexual abuse, don't worry

Normal.... I have been working with preschoolers (twos and threes) for 14 years, and I have seen lots of tiny erections. It can happen when you are changing their diaper! Just like an adult male, when the penis is touched, it can get aroused. Unless he starts showing signs of abuse (very specific, sexual acts he should have NO knowledge of at his age), this is not something you need to worry about. Boys are learning about their equipment, and their body is learning to handle responses. Perfectly natural!

This is not normal.
He's either been abused or watching daddy and mommy. I'd say abuse.
Babies can get an erection. A 3 year old can get one, but all that follows isn't normal. It's normal for him to want to wear sweat pants so he can touch it more often, not act out.

my son has a belly button fetish and he has to have his finger in a belly button to go to sleep it can be his , but he likes other ones too ,sometimes he wants to kiss them so that part is normal and boys can have an erection however if your concerned that he is behaving in a sexual behavior watch him and teach him some things are not appropriate and talk to his mother she may have a very good explanation to this.

This is not normal. This child has seen some things that he shouldn't have witnessed. He is at the age where he mimicks what he sees. His mother and father or whoever he is picking up this behavior from needs to be more careful around him.

Its not tottaly abnormal but is concerning. My gut tells me his parents are not suppervising what he sees on TV. I got my first bonner when I was 4 or 5 soooo, I guess nowadays a 3 yr old could get one.
