Two of my daughter's favorite songs about the moon:

Moon, Moon, Moon by Laurie Berkner

Moon, Moon, Moon
Shining bright
Moon, Moon, Moon
My night light
Moon, Moon, Moon
I can see
Moon, Moon, Moon
You're taking care of me

Look up, it's the moon
Look up, it's the moon
Look up, it's the moon, up in the sky
It's big and round
and I have found
that it looks just like a lemon pie

Repeat all, but last line changes to:
that it looks just like a pizza pie

Aiken Drum

There was a man lived in the moon, in the moon, in the moon.
There was a man lived in the moon and his name was Aiken Drum.

And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle.
He played upon a ladle and his name was Aiken Drum.

And his hair was made of spaghetti, spaghetti, spaghetti.
His hair was made of spaghetti and his name was Aiken Drum.

And his eyes were made of meatballs, meatballs, meatballs.
His eyes were made of meatballs and his name was Aiken Drum.

And he played upon a ladle, a ladle, a ladle.
He played upon a ladle and his name was Aiken Drum.

And his nose was made of cheese, cheese, cheese.
His nose was made of cheese and his name was Aiken Drum.

And his mouth was made of pizza, pizza, pizza.
His mouth was made of pizza and his name was Aiken Drum.

There was a man lived in the moon, in the moon, in the moon.
There was a man lived in the moon and his name was Aiken Drum.

Goodnight moon of course,

And the song Ernie sings on Sesame Street

Visit The Moon

by N/A
Well I'd like to visit the moon,
on a rocket ship high in the air.
Yes, I'd like to visit the moon,
but I don't think I'd like to live there.

Though, I'd like like to look down from the earth from above,
I would miss all the places and people I love
so although I might like for one afternoon
I don't wanna live on the moon.

I'd like to travel under sea,
I could meet all the fish everywhere
Yes, I'd travel under the sea,
But I don't think I'd like to live there.
I might stay for a day there if I had my wish
but there's not much to do when your friends are all fish,
and an oyster and clam aren't real family,
I don't wanna live in the sea.

I'd like to visit the jungle, hear the lions roar,
go back in time and meet a dinosaur,
there's so many strange places I'd like to be,
but none of them permanently.

So if I should visit the moon,
I would dance on a moonbeam and then,
I will make a wish on a star and I'll wish I was home onceagain.

Though, I'd like like to look down from the earth from above,
I would miss all the places and people I love
So although I may go,
I'll be coming home soon
Cause I don't want to live on the moon
No I don't want to live on the moon.

Hey diddle diddle,
the cat and the fiddle,
The cow jumped over the moon,
The little dog laughed to see such sport,
And the dish ran away with the spoon.
