Dont get me wrong, I have nothing against anyones personal choice. I do have a friend who is homosexual and I respect his choice. If one of my children were to tell me that they were gay, or bi. I wont say that I wouldnt be a little disapointed but, Ild except it. however, do you think that its right to promote this in our schools? they wont let religion in our childrens schools but they are premoting this. Whats wrong here? what are your feelings on this? My husband told me this, he heard it on the radio, and says that he refuses to let our daughters take that class when they get to that age. (we have a long time to worry about that i guess)

My husband & I had been taking our kids to church & they hate it. They are 5, 3 & 16 months. We live in a rural area & there is no children's church or Sunday school, they have to sit through the regular sermon. The past few weeks I have been going alone since it's such a battle. My in laws act like I should make them go. They get very bored and then get ornery. Not bad, but enough that it's stressful for us trying to keep them quiet & not disturb others.I can't really blame them, they are just little kids. So, what do you think about this? Should I wait til they are older or take them now? Thanks for any advice.

Why does everyone think it's soooo bad that some parents let there young kids drink soda once in awhile?? I mean letting them drink it every day or all the time is one thing, but giving them a drink or two every once in awhile is OK!!!! Just like every once in awhile it IS OK to let them have a piece of candy...... just dont over-do it people! THERE IS A DIFFERENCE!!!!

I have asked questions before regarding my friend and this new one really has me and her stumped. In the spring she lost her newborn daughter and now after months of confusion they finally got a headstone on the grave, they had problems with spellings and color because it is a very personal and special made stone. But a week after it was put on the grave she and I went to the cemetary and found it missing. She found out through the police that the "father" stole it but had returned it the funeral home before they found him. Now the funeral home refuses to place it on the grave because he has protested against because his name is not on their. 1 He is Not on the birth certificate. 2 He did Not pay for in any way, the funeral, the plot, or the headstone. 3 She even told him may not be the father. With all that the police and the funeral home are siding with him, they didn't even charge him for taking the stone. So our question, how would another mother handle being in this situation?

I met this mom who joined my playgroup site at a local bookstore. She had a negative vibe to her (I can feel people's energy since I'm kinda intuitive). She also was blunt and showed no expression on her face when I spoke. However, I was polite, smiled often, and supportive to her when she spoke, maybe that's why she liked me and asked me to come for lunch at her house this Sunday. How do I word my email to where I don't think it's going to work for us? I can not find a way to make the email sound polite.

Granted, mine are already grown, but now I have a Granddaughter. I was disappointed when my Son came home from second grade crying because some kids Dad had told him there was no Santa and then the teacher confirmed it. Should we even start it? Or if we do when do we tell the truth?

Grrr. Why do some parents let the kids run the street?? i'm not talking 15 year olds i'm talking about 4-10. They never keep an eye on them, or even seem to care where their kids are! it makes me so angry!

My 2 boys were out the front playing, they went round the corner for 10 minutes inside that 10 minutes they met some kids that were putting used fire works into a plastic bag and setting them alight with a lighter they got out of their parents house! these kids have free reign and are always up to something!

Why do they have kids when they can't be bothered to look after them??

At what age, if at all would you allow your children to watch you give birth to thier sibling?

My daughter will be about 9 years and 4 months when this baby is born and she really wants to be in the room with me. My husand (her father) and my mother are both thinking I'm crazy and saying no way for even considering this. She loves to watch the baby story on TLC. I've told her about my birth with her and even showed her online so real videos and my dad will be in the waiting room should she change her mind.

I think that it is allright since she asked if she could watch her sister (she is dead set on it being a girl) be born. What do you think.

I am the victim of my mom's abuse and want to know how a person can do awful things to a person they made.

i mean.. i am my mom's daughter.
When i have children i will cherish them. i cannot contemplate such a love i'd have for my own kid...

i am 1 of 4 kids in my family.
why me?
my mom waits on my other siblings hand and foot...

I took my suicidal teenage daugher to a hospital early this morning (midnight or so). She went absolutely crazy...on the way to the hospital she tried to run away, she tried to strangle herself, and she tried to suffocate herself. They admitted her to the hospital for who knows how long. I've called at least 10 times today, but obviousley in her state, they won't let me see her. I'm so worried, I've just been sitting and crying all day, worried sick about my daughter. How can I cope with this? Any advice is appriciated

cold medicine? My son was born almost 3 months early and he has been given these cold medicines since his first cold. The main problem is parents that don't or don't know how to read the dosages. My husband has been out of work since June so we have no health insurance so I can't afford to pay $80 for a doctor's visit for the common cold for our son.

My son is in 1st grade. This week he had 2 yellow lights and 1 red light for things such as yelling out loud in class, not raising his hand interrupting the teacher while she's teaching with things that don't pertain to the subject, arguing with the teacher because he claims she said she was going to read " fun facts first ". He is diagnosed with ADHD not on meds.

Per our therapist we are to make everything as structured as possible so we do our best thru excersises taught to us. We have a chart with a big reward for being good & punishment system per offense.

He's been doing really good up until this last week. We made it clear when he got his first yellow light that he's to stay on green in order to have fun at the party constantly reminding him on the way to school, at dinner, notes in his snack bag & lunch. Well for whatever reason that didnt happen. Now we have to follow thru with what we said he can't partake in the party.

Why do I feel so guilty? I wish I can say ok party.

My friend has a daughter who's 8 years old. she has problems in school following the teachers orders, beating other children, paying attention, etc.... She's been kicked out of one of my favorite childhood teachers class for being a menace. The sweetest teacher too!

At home she throws fits alot. Doesn't follow moms orders. They've been taking her to therapy for the past 3 years but she doesnt talk! They don't know whats wrong w/ her. They diagnosed some sort of A.D.D. case on her but nothings been solved.

I question moms +/- reinforcements and punishments. I don't think she's going through w/ punishments all the way. I watched her yesterday for 2 hours and no joke i wanted to do terrible things to her with a bat. Its awful. im not even a violent person. she doesn't listen, dosn't follow orders, pushes buttons for humor. I swear she's evil. I feel bad for this kid. I wanna help her but i dont know what to do.

I prefer to work but staying at home with the kids works best for our family. Paying daycare for our 2 babies would swallow my entire paycheck. and working a shift opposite of my husband so we don't need a sister or day care would be (was) a disaster, I worked for about 6 months before the babies were born & it was really bad. My husband has no house-spouse skills. I use to come home from 8-10 hour day & have a full days house work to do. So we decided that for now I'm more needed at home. Yeah, I get greif about it from some but they don't know what it's like for 5 kids to not have their mother home & a husband who doesn't know how to operate any applance in the house other than the television & stove. I work very hard as a stay at home mom, I never get weekends or holidays off, & I'm on call 24/7.

Whenever our daughter has a bad dream, she comes into our room. She used to wake us up, but now she just brings a pillow, blanket and her stuffed monkey with her and lays on the floor without saying a word.

Wife and I were about to have sex around 2 a.m. when she fortunately saw our daughter on the floor. I'm paranoid that she's going to either walk in on us one night or we'll forget to check the floor and she'll be tramatized for life.

It seems mean to tell her not to come in our room, but then you can't exactly explain to a kid you don't want her to catch you having sex. Advice?

I find more and more questions from young (I mean YOUNG) kids asking about sex, pregnancy, and other adult problems.

There are kids saying "Do you think I could have gotten pregnant? What should I do?"

They are uneducated about their actions, yet they continue to do these things. If you are not sure if this or that action could result in a consequence that is undesirable, then for pity's sake, DON'T DO IT!!!

Then there are the young man-trap teenage girls that will secretly try to get pregnant "on accident." They think they are solving all their emotional problems. They think the guy will instantly commit himself and fall in love...

..Then they end up with no college education and one or more extra mouths to feed. I know a girl who had a kid before her education was through. She is really struggling now. It is hard to make enough money on your own and go to school and have time with your kid to raise him right.

Why do you think kids are doing this? How can we prevent it?

Do u feel that if u were not there for your childs birth that you are unable to bond with and love that child like it should be loved? He feels that because he was not there that he cant form a bond, i told him that's on him and it's his mental problem, is he right or am i?
