I have 2 children, which I love, but I still feel like I need another one. I really wanted a son, I have two daughters. I think this is the problem. I love my girls, but feel like somethings missing? My husband has told me he doesn't want anymore kids. How do I stop these feelings? I feel like I should be having children now, like I started too early. I'm 27 now. Some advice please!!!

my 8 year old daughter is still throwing tantrums and if something dos'nt change soon I am going to go insane, she has a tantrum over everything, she dosn't get her way, tantrum, she get borred, tantrum, she can't sleep, tantrum, she does something wrong and I punish her, tantrum, and everytime it is the same thing "poor me, no one likes me, everyone is always mad at me, I never get to do anything ect ect, usually at first I am not that upset but she won't stop, she pushes and pushes and pushes until I just want to ring her little neck, I don't, but I want to, I usually go out to the garage to work on pricing stuff for my garage sale, I have gotten a lot done, what can I do to get her to stop throwing them or at least make them not so long? I have tried telling her that if she dos'nt quit I will take something away or ground her from doing something but that just makes the tantrum worse and longer.

When our son does something wrong like pulling hair or whatever, my husband will smack his leg or hand. I'm trying to convince him that it's not necessary to punish him like that yet, and that he doesn't understand. All he knows is that one of his favorite people is hurting him, and I'm afraid he's just making him scared of him. He doesn't hit him hard or anything, but I don't think that any physical contact of that kind is necessary at this age.. (or really any age) He says that child psychologists are quacks and that he is his father and he should be able to discipline him how he wants.. BUT I'M HIS MOTHER- that's my response. He seems to not appreciate the fact that I have an opinion on the matter, too and if I don't want him to smack him, he SHOULDN'T! I'm so stressed out about this... what do I say to him? (and please, no "Call the CPS".. he's not really HURTING him, he's just startling him.. ) Okay, opinions please..

lets say you have 2 or more kids. and 1 tells you the other did something bad like broke the window, do you go punish the accused child without full evidence?

The reason why i am asking this is because my 16 yr old son does Mix Martial Arts and i saw him training in our home gym and he had scratch marks on his back. like a woman was under him clawing at his back, but i have no evidence that it happened so i can't accuse him of that. he told me he scratched himself because he was itchy.

and i'm no fool, i know it is from having intercourse, but i have no evidence. so no punishment. thats the way things goes in my house.

at least he got an A in his sex ed class a few yrs ago. so he knows how to protect himself.

She's only 2 right now, and is advanced (per doctor/teachers...Myself :) I'm not sure if I want to put her in public school, but I know I can't afford the pricey private schools, does anyone have other options for us????

I want to use the stork story as long as possible with my own son. However, I don't want to lose credibility with him by using it too long. At what point should you admit there are no magic storks that drop babies from the sky?

Every summer my husband, my twin daughters, who are 17 and I go down the shore for 2 weeks. As they've gotten older, they've each brought a friend down with us. A couple nights ago the two of them came up to us and asked if their boyfriends could come and stay a couple days this summer. My daughters' boyfriends are very nice guys and have been going out with my daughters for some time now. I trust all 4 of them and believe they're all responsible teenagers. There's plenty of room for the boys and of course I'd keep an eye on them. My husband, on the other hand, flipped out and said that the only way those boys were coming down were if they slept in a hotel room. He's very protective and impossible to compermise with. Anyone else have a husband like this? Or are you a father like this? Would you allow your daughters (or sons) to do this?

I have two beautiful step kids on of whom is in elementary school and I get stares, as if I was some child rapist psycho when I drop her off at school because we don't look the same. She works and I am the stay at home parent. Once my GF got a call from school about me because somebody reported me as a threat the first week I dropped picked her up because I was being all mushy and hugging her!

I ignore it all but that one phone call really made us furious at the school and we felt like transferring our daughter except for the fcat all her firends are there.

My friend has a 14 month old daughter. I see her often and I have NEVER seen her smile ever. I have never heard her laugh either.

My friend's husband thinks maybe their daughter has a disorder because she hates being around other people, refuses to socialize, only wants to be held by her mother and rarely smiles or laughs.

My friend says that her daughter does smile, but it's rare since her daughter is a "serious" child.

Is this normal? I have never seen a kid act this way before.

My little boy is 6 years old and is very cabable of going into the restroom on his own. However, when we are out in public I trust no one. I do not trust him to go into the men's room alone because I have no idea what kind of sicko pedofile might be in their waiting to touch him or expose himself to my baby.
I take him into the ladies room with me. I have heard several women say that taking a child of that age into the ladies room is wrong. He is old enough to go into the men's room by himself. I disagree because like I said I don't trust anyone and their are way too many sickos out their for me. What is your opinion on this??

I have come across several parents who will teach their kids to kiss on the mouth, including mine., and I always wondered if that bordered on inappropirate. I know kids are just so cute and lovable, but how appropriate would this seem when the child gets older, and now this kissing on the mouth has become a habit? Won't it seem strange if your child is going around giving peole kisses on the mouth?
Also, wouldn't it expose them to possible pedophiles because it seems like a rather overtly sexual gesture?
I knew this little kid, who would actually use his tongue when kissing ie do a little lick thing.., (I don't know where he got the idea to use the tongue), but it seemed a little strange when he interacted with everyone around him in that way, young or old.
What do you think of teaching your children to kiss on the mouth? Would you teach your kids to do that, and why?

My husband and I have a (almost) three-month old little girl and want to have (ideally) three kids total - no more than three years apart. Our daughter has been (knock on wood) a very easy baby and we are thinking down the road... should we start for number 2 or wait? Any suggestions or advice from your own experience?

What the hell is difference between just-born baby from another woman and the one that you gave birth to yourself? There are so many homeless children who need parents' love and care but women (I don't know about men) still prefer to give birth themselves so stubbornly... They even agree to suffer artificial impregnation, count days etc. Why? If your wish to have a kid is so big, then why don't you give your love to the one who needs it?

I will be opening a daycare center within the next 12 months, and I would like any opinions from parents about what I can do to set my daycare apart from the rest! Open later? Until when? Open some weekends? Overnights? Certain activities? More outdoor play? Male figures? Certain meals? More natural foods? No television? THANKS SO MUCH!

do you punish the kid for being molested? Or is that your fault and YOUR bad parenting for leaving them with a molester in the first place?

Would you do it as a test of your child's obediance? How long would you leave the child with the molester before you realized HE IS A MOLESTER, that shouldn't be left with your kids?

How does this relate to the tale of the Christian god tossing the devil down to earth, free to roam about in the garden of Eden, and then leaving him in charge of the Earth?

My 14 year old daughter has a few phobias-
1. Losing baby teeth (which she still has some)
2. Having her school things touched by people
3. Big, open rooms
4. Black dogs
What do I do? It seems like nothing, but it does get in the way of things quite often.

She was adopted last year. I've notice sometimes she'll tell us her brother and sister live in a different state and changes her response about having a dad and not having a dad. I'm sure her adopted parents are aware of this. Is there anything I can say or do that will help her transition with her new family. Maybe it's best not to approach it directly with her, but maybe there is something I can say or do that can help her indirectly.

I'm engaged with another man, have been with him more than 3 years. My son is also 3. His father lives with his mother, who babysits my son. On my way to pick up my son a few months ago, Jordans father was laughing because my son was in his backyard, pooping on the side walk naked. They have a chain-link fence. I told them I thought it was innappropriate, but they thought nothing of it. Summer time, I bought my son swim trunks only to find out that his grandmother lets him swim naked so he wouldn't wear them. Days ago, I went to pick him up and he was on the side walk in front of their house, butt naked, his grandmother holding his underwear and pants, watching him try to point his member in a little hole in the ground to pee in. Which he succeeded. I saw him and was amazed that she was letting him do this. A few days ago, he tried to pee in my plants when she was dropping him off. And she says "You're not a my house so you have to pee in the potty" Should they only be my rules?

It's time to start taking a stand. I'm afraid to have kids because of the way kids are turning out these days. I've seen a 13 year old girl get in her mothers face with a fist in the air and threaten her...and the mother did nothing! I can't count how many times I've seen little kids completely ignore their parents when they are told to do something. It makes me SICK to watch parents let the children have all the power because they're afraid the government will come after them. It's time to stand up to the government and say, "We want our role as a parent back." I don't want to raise a child and watch him/her disrespect elders/others...including me. I want the respect from children like it used to be...not complete ignorance.
What do you think?

My daughter finally asked how there is a baby in my tummy. I told her daddy put it there. She seemed fine with that answer as she is only two.

She told her cousin yesturday that her daddy put the baby in my tummy and my neice asked me how. Ahhh she is 5 and I had no idea what to tell her so I said go ask your mom.

I know I probably handled it wrong. How would you have handled that question?
