Hi

I don’t really know where 2 start, I have posted on here before but still having issues.

I have 2 daughters, eldest aged 7 she is my step-daughter (she calls me mum & has no contact with her biological mum) I have bought her up for 3 an half years so I class her as my own. I also have another daughter with my fella she is nearly 2.

Anyway back to the problem, my eldest. She very rarely listens to what we say (unless we are telling her to get some sweets/crisps etc) she tells lots of lies about anything, it can be something small or it has been in the past something huge.. even to the point of her telling her dad I punched her !! Which of course I didn’t. We ask her to help a little around the house for instance if she makes a mess tidy it up after her, tidy her room (to be honest that’s all we ask her to do) but it seems like everything we ask of her she just wont do, she ignores us all the time.

We have tried taking her toys out of her room, No TV for a Week, No Play station / grounded etc. No Sweets, Star Chart/Smiley Face Chart. Nothing works. We have smacked her, she cries but she still ignores us/tells lies. We have tried ignoring her when she talks to us or asks us for something, we have stopped her going to sleep over at her nanna’s for the weekend until her behaviour improves (which seems to be of no avail) Her school teacher has called us in twice because she ignores her in school, she does hardly any work and when she does she copies it from the person sat next to her. Or she spends all her time talking…It has even got to the point where we have been to the doctors because we cant cope, all the doctors say is that she is independent !!!! I don’t see how ignoring us gives her independence.

I have found myself crying all the time, she is putting such a huge strain on mine & my fella’s relationship (were engaged) & we really want to make things work rather than give in.

I understand kids aren’t angels and I don’t expect her to be an angel, I cant remember the last time our home life was a happy place. Any suggestions/ideas please.

Thanks xx

Sure you can protect your daughter against cervical cancer. The question is, at what cost? At really who's benefit?

My friend and I were discussing this subject because she said that she got her daughter baptised at 10 months and she is about to baptise her son that is only a month old. She says that it isn't a religios reason she had to do it so I am not bashing her beliefs or nothing, but what do you think? Would you have your kids baptised? Or even if you aren't a christian, would you force your child to believe like you do?

Don't you believe the coming generations are just being more and even more corrupt!!! I can't even imagined how my children going to be. What has happened to discipline? Then again, there's a point to stop, at a certain age, but still we have Elementary students who are mouthing off to their parents, better yet even before they entered school! It's crazy...what do you think about all this?

I wonder how many men get into that business because of this. "The Wiggles" make me think of perverts. Not sayin' they are, maybe it's just me. And there's those two guys who are supposed to be brothers with imaginary remote controls. I dunno they look like wierdo's.

I'm just curious as to what the average age is now that people leave their kids home alone, be it for 15-30 minutes to run to the store or whatever, or a couple hours at a time.

Dear Mrs. X, (me)
I'm sending you this note because your son has been hard to deal with for a
few days. When I try to talk to him and suggest that he needs to calm
down he just walks off as if nothing I say matters. Mr. XXXXXX is having
the same kind of response. We have a reward movie scheduled for this
Friday at 1pm. So far everyone is going to the movie in the cafeteria. I
don't want to take the movie from him, but he might leave me with no
choice. Your son seems to be mad right now and I don't know why. He simply
won't talk or listen to reason. He knows that I'm sending you this
message. We are getting ready to switch classes so I'll check with Mr. XXXXX
and see how his afternoon went later.
Mrs. XXXXXX

Any ideas on how to handle this situation.

My 13 year old daughter is 5'5 and weights 390lbs. I can't believe how big and fat and sloppy she has gotten. I have warned her about the dangers of over eating but she will not listen. She eats all day and all night. I have even caught her in the shower eating two whole chickens and a pan of lasagne!!
Now her weight is out of control and her life is in danger. I do not buy her junk food. She buys it on her own from her full time job at Citgo.
She needs to loose weight but is too lazy to exercise and eat right. I want her to have bypass surgery because I love her very much and do not want her to die. Should I let my 13 year old daughter have gastric bypass surgery?? Help please!

after my special needs brother died my sons told my daughter there was ghosts and monsters in her room, unfortunately he died in front of her while my wife was looking after him now it doesnt affect her apart from getting her into her own bed we dealt with it as a family by allowing all the children to ask questions and we sensitively answered them we also allowed the children to buy teddys and draw pics to put in his coffin with him we did not allow them to see him in the chapel of rest this would have been too much for them to cope with, our daughter spends every night in with us. we have tried everything from lots of different lamps to buying dream catchers and decorationg her room how she wants it.

the father is in his 40s and son is in his 20s and they have boxing matches. real actual boxing, and some times muay thai as well.
full physical contact and none of them goes easy on the other.

they do it in the backyard where there is plenty of open spaces and on a mat.

they both party together, son and dad and all of their friends hang out together and party, drink, do guys stuff etc, i know that part is ok, but what about the boxing.....

I'm a college student but I'd really like to start babysitting. I love kids (I'm going to school to be a teacher) and the extra money would be great!! I have an open schedule and have experience with children, neices, nephews and I'm cpr certified so I feel qualified. However, I don't know anyone who needs a babysitter and have no idea how to start babysitting?

How do I find clients?

How much should I charge?

Should the kids come to my house, or I go to theirs?

Any other advice would also be great!!
