Well, I wouldn't ever want to name my child Lumina but I also know for a FACT that I wouldn't laugh in someone's face either!! Very immature of you and not to mention extremely rude and heartless.
It is their baby - not yours. If you didn't care for the name then you just say politely that it's different and it would have to grow on you. OR ANYTHING ELSE - JUST NOT LAUGHING!!!

No, I personally would not, but different strokes for different folks.
There are millions of names I would not choose for my child but some folks don't like Gabriel,which is what I named my son!
My sister actually left the hospital and never came to visit me or my son when she found out I did not choose the name she choose(Ethan) he's 3yrs. old and I still have not forgotten how she acted.
You get the uncool and thoughtless award for actually laughing in someones face for a decision that has NOTHING to do with you.

While i would not name my child that i would not laugh in their face that is SUPER rude! So what this parent wants to name their child diffrent what right do you have to say that it is right or wrong? My son's name is Xzavier and people get on me about the spelling and stuff and do not relize that it is pronounced diffrent but no one and i repet NO ONE laughed at me. that was very crule and i would go and say your sorry,
