NEVER!
You could cause brain damage by hitting your child in the head. Plus its humiliating and degrading.
Always spank your child on their bottom.

I never smack my kids. Kids misbehave, and they act up, that's what they do! How would you like it if you did something wrong, and someone came up behind you and SMACK right in the kisser!
Hitting/smacking a child is never right.
(not being rude, just trying to get a point across.)

Do people smack you in the head for misbehaving? Probably not. Don't hit your children, it does no good. There are other more productive ways to punish. Like taking away a favorite toy, no TV, stand in the corner.

Smacking is never OK! It is cruel and humiliating. There are other ways you can punish a child.
Using violence only teaches them that it is OK to hit.
Why would ANYONE want to inflict pain upon there child?

No, not in the head - I had a friend who did that - it's very brutal and an out of control thing to do on the parents part - also very humiliating for the child.
I do give a swat on the butt.

You should never smack a kid on the head. it's a sign of disrespect for the kid, and when you disrespect the kid, he'll only get worse and more issues would be brought up when he grows up.
Don't assume that one little bad thing a parent does for his/her child will be forgotten. Everyone remembers how they've been treated, especially when they were kids. you'd rather have a kid who would remember you being a good parent than to hate you when they grow up.
You can always talk to them (with a firm voice), they'll listen, they'll behave when you explain the wrong behaviour that they did.
Reward him/her for the good conduct.
Good luck

Well that all depends on what you mean by smack. I mean if he is acting up and you slightly pop or push him to get his attention of what he is doing wrong.. then ok.. but if you are talking about a full blow to the head.. Hell no! There are many things that a minimal blow to the head could do to a child.

I see my sister do this to her kids and it drives me insane! There are much better ways to deal with children besides smacking them around. I don't want my kids to behave just because I'm around.. I want them to learn HOW to behave even when I'm not there. Smacking your kids around just teaches them to not get caught.
