I'm not sure what to do anymore but I'm to edge and about to fall off. My husband and I have been married for two years and he never really had a solid job before we got together. He works for a mill driving a truck now but he's home every night at about 4:30. Can I include that we've just bought a house, have a newborn who's 1 month old and a 3 year old boy. The whole time I've been on maternity leave he comes in from work, changes his clothes, lays in the recliner or gets him something to eat. I've been with our kids for 2 months straight at home and I'm fine with that but... I had to literally make him get up and feed the baby and he's now got to the point that he goes to bed at 8:30 or 9:00 and of course after I've been here with them all day leaves me to get both of them to sleep. I'm fed up! I go back to work next week and I'm the only one who cleans, washes clothes and dishes and picks up after everyone and does the majority with the kids. He says he's so tired. What do I ?

y husband is taking me away for my birthday. I have two baby boys one 9mth and the other 20mth old i have never spent a day without them and feel i need a break but the only people to leave my kids with is my mum but in the whole 20 months ive had kids she has never once gotten down on the ground and played with either of them, i know she would look after most of their needs like feeding and changing them, am i selfish in leaving them with her? Even though i feel if i dont get this break i will go insane and that wont be good for anyone i dont want my kids to stress?

my husband and i are having a really hard time with our marriage as of right now we are not together. i left him due to his extra curricular activities. ( drugs ) we have four kids together and for the most part they are great kids. but my daughter is not listening at all to me. in fact she would rather spend the time at my mothers house then at home with me. i know that she would be adjusting to the situation but to be completely honest she thinks that her father is at work not that we are seperated or that he does drugs. i do not want them to think ill of their father. i am not the type of mother that lets her children get away with all types of things, but i am not a drill sargent either. my mother on the other hand would rather let her do whatever she wants, i dont know how to disapline her without making her hate me. iam the only parental figure left in her life. i am scared that she will hate me and ill lose our relationship. what do i do. oh by the way my daughter is only 5.

first i am not trying to start anythiing or p anyone off but i really have a few q and want to know what you all think.. i am always hearing how hard stay at home moms work and how much they do ect why is it that you think you do so much more then the moms who work? not being nasty i truely want to know what it is. because the way i see it is that working moms not only have to be on a schedule all the time and be at work for hrs each day but then they come home and get to do all the same work that stay at home moms did all day. once again im not trying to be mean or put anyone down i just really cant figure it out so maybe if you could clue me in i will learn something that i didnt know or maybe look at stay at home moms differently ect...and any working moms do you feel like stay at home moms get more credit then you do?

that was easily brought down by meds, but some idiot on here got her panties in a bunch because I wasn;t rushing her off to the doctor. Just made me curious how many people on here take their kids in when they have nothing but a simple fever along with signs of a bad cold? Had the fever not gone down, that would be a different story, but as parents how may of you just kind of know when they have to go and when they don't? This may apply more to people who have had more than one child as i know your a bit more worried with the first, your instincts seem to grow as you have more.

We have a printout from our physicians office telling us when and what signs to look for in a fever to know when to bring a child in or not. She obviously was not needing to be seen or I would have taken her in, just as I know that all doctors are different and many have different ideas about care.

Anyways....do you rush your child to the doctor for a fever and cold symptoms.

*Please read the question carefully*

Assume you have only one single choice. When raising your kids and he/she does something bad (assume he/she is 6 - 10 years old) would you prefer to:

A) Give them a long lecture on explaining why the things they did were bad or,

B) Let them learn from their mistakes and hopefully they won't repeat the next time.

Yes I called on a friend and no I'm not ashamed!!!! I am glad I did it now she will get the help she needs for those boys. If I was calling to get back at her then of course you could thrash me but I tried to help her and she continued to do the same things over and over. These are only a few Examples: She allows her mother to smoke pot in the house. Instead of riding the bus she has her friend with benefits drive her places in his 2 seater truck with 1 of her sons on the floor board. This is a weekly thing not just one time that this has happened. She sleeps with men and her sons are in the room yes some times awake.

If you need to know more and are not convinced that this is enough read this question I posted before you answer:

Once again I am not ashamed and I know her kids will have the help they deserve. They will not take the kids. They are going to help.

I got pulled over exactly a week ago for the first time. The cop said he pulled me over because I had a tailight out...

Why? ...Almost over a month ago my friend rear-ended the old car. He gave my parents the damage money (about $1500) immediately after estimates. He said he didn't care if we put it to a new car for me. I've been saving for a new car forever. My parents said they would pay for half. I spent SOO much time looking for cheap cars, taking into consideration year, mileage, and efficiency. I found a $4000 Kia Rio & had the money for it. I was excited, esp. after the damage incident, that my dad would take me to the dealer.

I don't have my 6 months driving time up, but I had my friend's brother & one of his friends in the car because I was driving them honestly, like a mile back to her house. They were hanging out at a playground and she didn't have enough room for all of them in her car. The cop let me go ahead & bring them the rest of the way home after he ticketed me

I really want to go but they won't even listen to me. I want the education and experience. How can I possibly convince them to listen to me, and in time send me. Money isn't the problem. They just don't want me to be gone all of the time.

I just noticed that Old School Mom is the top scoring person in Yahoo Answers.

I personally think this is great. I usually agree with her. She gives comon sense parenting advise and opinions on a number of things. But it certainly is not the kind of thing you get off of Nanny 911, etc.

Horror or horrors she even believes in spanking and she does it on her kids' bare fanny.

I have a suspcion that a lot of younger parents are going back to some of the old tried and true parenting methods, including spanking.

Do you think this may be the reason this "old fashioned" modern Mom is on top of the parenting category?

My son has attended 2 funerals over past couple of years at aged 7 and then at 9 years old. He understood what what happening and even asked if he could do a reading at my darling dads service last year. He was fantastic and read confidently, without a mistake in front of 200 people. I was so very proud of him. I got some flack afterwards from some who thought that it wasnt appropriate for him to be there but he needed to say his goodbyes just like the rest of the family. Whats your opinion?

Yesterday I had to spank my son. Today he had some friends over to our house. My daughter and one of her friends started teasing him. Apparently they were saying stuff like show us your bottom, etc. He came to me almost in tears in embarrassment.

I decided to give my daughter a taste of her own medicine and give her a spanking in front of the rest. Because it was not in private I let her keep her pants on--but used the paddle to make sure the message connected.

I think this was fair. What say?

I have a big lot of over 40 baby boy items mainly 0-3 months and some other ones 3-6 months. They are all in good shape and it includes quite a few sleepers and some cute little outfits and rompers I am wondering how much I should put it on ebay for because I want to sell them and figured ebay would be a good way to go, i have sold items on there before and have looked at a few things on ebay close to what I want to sell but most of the stuff looks underpriced or WAY overpriced. I am just wondering what you all thought I should start the bid out at. there is nothing with stains on it and all of the clothes are current pieces which are still in style my little boy is only 15 months old and he only got to wear a few things a couple of times if at all. what do you all think??
