Ok ladies! Let's face it, parenting can get TOUGH at times, so for the sake of our sanity, let's do a little story telling about our kiddos: What's one FUNNY story about your child? What has he or she done lately to really crack you up? Any age is just fine.

I don't want to argue with him about buying him toys everytime we go out, and I figured this was a good way to refuse buying toys for him. I could tell him he spent his money or he doesn't have enough and next time if he saves his money he can buy it himself. We'll just buy him the big stuff for his B-day or Christmas.

My son is a very quiet kid and well behave for his age and has some friends in his pre-school. Lately he started using bathroom words and last nite he mentioned that he wanted to touch my penis, and i asked why- he said these 2 kids who are 5 & 4.5 yrs old - hold him tight and touched his penis in the bathroom; i told him to tell the teacher; but he said they make fun of him when he tells on them.
So i called one of the kids mother on phone- and then when i spoke to him again- he denied the whole incidence.
Do u think he is making up story or is he scared and now denying it further. I am very nervous on how to handle this situation.
My husband spoke to the school and they said they would look into it. I am scared that, the school should not cast him out as tattle tale and not believe in him. Am i being paranoid here. The other parent swears by her son - that her son is a saint.
What should i do? how should i raise a good child who can stand up for himself. PLEASE HELP!

i am a single mother and currently i work around my sons school schedule and my mother helps me, but i want to start my career which probably means moving away from this area and away from my mother, whom i depended on for back up sitter care, what do people do with their children when they work, are there day cares that drive the kids to school and pick them up? is there before and after care right at schools? are there day cares that will take children if they are too sick to go to school? what do other single moms do that want to have a career also, i mean i have no one else in my family and no friends that i can depend on to help me if i need it, so i have to find alternative solutions

I am a stay at home mom. I have two little girls ages 2 and 1 and I also watch my niece who is 1. I am having a real hard time making new friends. Because of their ages, I can not really take them out right now because they all need strollers. I have a support group online I check in once in a while, but I do not have the time to do that during the day. I am also looking for a business to do at home to that might help relieve the loneliness. Any suggestions!?

I have an 18 year old, 3 months from graduating. He got fired from his co-op job yesterday for not showing up on a number of occassions (we didn't know this was going on). Now he is facing the fact that he may not graduate since he will be short credit hours du to getting fired. My husband feels he should be grounded from everything, I feel grounding him isn't going to accomplish much since he will have no funds to do anything anyway. Give me your opinions. My son is depressed and knows he messed up but is that enough?

I ran across another question regarding child support, and now I am curious as to what people use their support money for. When I was a kid, my mother never got it. Where my neighbor waited for the mailman to come every two weeks and then she was off to get her hair and nails done and party. When I recieved it, I believed that 100% of that money went for my daughter for toys, clothes, college, or whatever she wanted never bills. My friend recieves support and says that money is hers for dealing with her kids and not having any help. She can do with it what she wants to.
So my question is how do you honestly break the percentage down for the support you recieve?
For me it would be 0% Bills, 100% Kids, 0% Personal (for me)

My 15 year old brother is still at school and is having a terrible time over his dinners....

There is nothing he likes on the new menues and him and all his friends are not having any dinner at all most days!
Carrot sticks and pasta with tuna are not to every kids taste.
Any one else having this problem with their kid?

As my children are all at full time school, I have returned to study at university. All was going smoothly until today... I was just about to leave when my son started vomiting!
My kids school has 'assembly' every Friday where they may make a speech or get an award. I am unable to attend (unless I skip class).
Parents. How do you juggle this? How do YOU decide which assemblies/excursions are necessary for you to attend? Do you suffer the dreaded guilt?
How do you find the time for 2 full time jobs?
I really need some advice from parents who are doing this.
Thanks.

Hello,

I have two young boys (2 and 3) and they've had upset stomachs now for around 2 weeks with diahorreah on and off.

I'm making sure that hands are always cleaned and they are very clean children and am struggling to know what to do with them.

Can anyone suggest good food to feed them or any "soft" medication I can give them to improve things.

This is a UK question so please UK answers

Are parents to blame for the way their kids turn out? Is it also the parents fault for not giving enough time to their kids and letting them wander the streets and causing problems? or is it simply because kids get bored so easily and there is nothing to do and decide to do their own thing.

i have seen little girls between 5-10 with hair cuts made for little boys. Why do parents do this. it makes you daughters look like your sons. There are some cases where the child is sick and in fall out but not in all cases. What is the point, why not let their hair grow out?
