My son is 5yrs old and in kindergarten. He recently started not wanting to go to school and throws a huge fit when its time to get ready. He barely makes it out to the bus. He used to love school he would get mad when he didn't have it. Any suggestions on getting him excited about it again or to at least peacefully getting ready. Or thoughts on why he might be refusing to go?? HELP ME!! HELP ME!!

dont actually have my own money, "our" money is really HIS money...so lately I have been realising that I have the power here, my guy makes about 10,000 amonth take home, and he is VERY controlling with the money, to the point he makes me feel like a child when I need something, Im an adult and I shount have to ask or explain to him why I need what...so I have been refusing sex unless he gives me CASH so I can put it in my savings account.
It sounds like prostitution, sure, but being a SAHM DOES NOT PAY, and I dont want to be broke at 40 when my kid is moved away!
He does NOT want me to work and gets ngry as hell when I say Im getting a job, plus he will not help out with daycare, so I decided this is how it will be.
Besides Stay home moms are kinda prostitutes anyways, if you never had sex with your husbands he would divorce you and no one would pay your way!

okay heres the deal im 14 and adopted only by my dad
this is what destroyed me on the inside because my birth dad walked away from me when i was young (age 1) I thought that if I was a little bit better, smarter, cuter, or nicer. Since my mom is my birth mom i feel close to her and on my dad (adopted one) i feel seperated cause both of my sisters come from him. I have had to deal with so much and i cant talk about it without feeling like my insides have been ripped out.. This has caused me more pain then anyone could ever dream of. I keep it inside so no one knows and it just rips me up inside. To every father ot there never walk away you have no idea what it does to a kid.

How could any father walk away because its easier to do?

im trying to quit and i was wondering if any one else out there has done this while trying to quit smoking, i still carry them with me and sometimes i like to hold one in my hand, i guess as a confort to say i could have one if i wanted, anyone else ever do that?

My girls are in bed, they won't be waking up until morning. We had Christmas with my dad tonight so you can pretty much imagine how tired they were...lol. Their dad is out of state working until tomorrow and I have just had a pretty stressfull day. Would one wine cooler hurt? I drink very rarely so it's not something I do all the time. My 21st birthday was weeks ago and this is the first drink I'll have. Will this make me a terrible parent?

my oldest child is almost 4 and last week she mentioned she had a friend who had a green shirt and hat, purple pants, and brown shoes. But then she said that he was dead. Lately she's been obsessed with death so what she said didn't take me by surprise. and to tell you the truth, I thought she was talking about the host of Blues Clues. So I just listened. Well, I guess on a seperate occasion she told my husband the same thing. Well, tonight, she mentioned her "friend" again, however, this time, it seemed more real. She said taht he was dead becasue someone put a gun in his mouth. this shocked me because I have NO idea where else she would have gotten that image. Also, we have never taught her any religion and so it shocked me that she said that he was up in the sky now and she can't go with him b/c she's not dead like him. I am thouroughly freaked out & don't know if she is dreaming or if it is a spirit. I'm a skeptic but does NE1 have same experience? Suggestions? Help!

I've met so many spoilt rude children in the past, as well as very unresponsible parents. I think maybe that BOTH parents, should pass some sort of test, or maybe obtain a license before they even think of having children! Or even better, the age people can have children!
We have to pay bloody taxes to the government here, only to be spent as benefits on pathetic useless young couples who aren't even bothered enough to find proper jobs!
What do you think though?

daughter has been to dr.- we started a antibiotic for a chest infection-sinus related - and has been running a fever of 102. Today even after alternating tylenol and motrin her fever seems to be climbing-
we were at dr today- started antibiotic today -which is strong- she only takes it 5 days
her fever is 103.5 as we speak and is not due to take any more meds for 3 hrs. what can I do other than a cold rag to help her????? She is 5 yrs old and very pitiful- How high is at the dangerous level and I should take to ER-- suggestions- Please??

My Girls are 6 and 3 and so far as much as my husband (their father) have tried to instill repect and order,and they pretty much dismiss anything we say to them. We are consistant and we set limits, we do time outs and all that. I have even watched the different nanny shows for help. I have tried charts and chores and all that. Does anyone have advice that might help??? Please I need something before I jump off the deep end.

My daughter is 6 years old and in the first grade. She has other students that both beleive in Santa and those that don't around her in the classroom. This is a very tender age and an imaginative one. Should I continue to encourage her to beleive in that which she does not see, or should I tell her the adult truth? Do I let her figure it out on her own? Help!!

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO AT LEAST TALK TO ME KIDS FOR ABOUT A YEAR I KNOW WHERE THEY LIVE AND EVERYTHING, I WRITE LETTERS, I SEND CALLING CARDS BUT I CAN'T GET THEM TO CALL ME I'VE BEEN HERE ABOUT 3 YEARS AND HAVE GOTTEN MY LIFE GOING AND GOOD. I DONT MAKE A LOT OF MONEY AND PAY HALF MY CHECK FOR CHILD SUPPORT. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING TO DESERVE THIS FROM MY KIDS THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEND A CARD OR SOMETHING , I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A CARD OR GIFT FOR ANY HOLIDAYS OR B-DAYS. THEY ARE 15 AND 17 WHAT HAVE I DONE WRONG. THE ONLY THING I WANT FOR CRISTMAS IS TO BE ABLE TO TALK TO THEM AND TELL THEM HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM IF I COULD GO THERE I WOULD BUT I CANT AFFORD IT. IM JUST BARELY ABLE TO PAY THE BILLS AND GAS TO GET TO WORK. My two boys ages 5 and 6 have been acting up for the last 2 weeks and ive told them that if they keep it up santa will not come this year. Today they decided to poke a baseball size hole in the wall with a pair of scissors. SHould I take christmas away or is that too harsh?

Parents with adopted kids face this so I was wondering what everyone's opinion is on this.

I have seen that if you don't tell them until they're 18-20 or older, they'll think their life was based on a whole lie(some)

or if you tell them early in life they'll cry.

So to tell them or not tell them?

As for me I don't have kids. Just wondered what everyone's opinions are on this.
