Why do you have to stop believing. Santa isn't about the jolly fat man coming down the chimney delivering your every wish. It's about the holiday and family and giving to the community. My 8 year old told me this year he doesn't believe in Santa anymore and it broke my heart. But he also told me he'll let his little brother figure out on his own so not ruin the magic. Because we all need to believe in a little something every now and then. Don't we?

My child is 4 and it's funny cause he says he does belive in Santa but I don't think he really cares for him lOl. He knows I bought all of his presents even though I did write down from Santa. He refuses to see Santa in the mall cause he's too shy.
As for me I knew it was my mother and older brother buying me my christmas presents when I was probably 6.

I never believed in Santa. But most of my friends stopped at ten or eleven. But I also constantly told them that Santa wasn't real, so I hurried the process. I'm just a fun-killer. Anyway, your brother still believing in Santa is fine. He'll realize when he's ready that Santa is a conspiracy of the parents of the world to keep their children ignorant about the world. Haha, just kiddin'. Happy Holidays!

They believe in Santa for different time periods. Some at four and five do not believe. I hope a child believes in the true meaning of Christmas for a lifetime, that Jesus Christ came to earth to be born of a virgin and to die a terrible death on the cross because he paid the price for our sins.

I stopped believing when I was ten. Someone in my class yelled it out, and I went home and told my dad he was santa. And he came out and told me. I think that a child should be allowed to believe as long as they want. Don't try to force them not to believe.

These days, though, you're lucky to have a child still believing around ten. Usually kids in school will ruin it real quick.

Why do you care when they stop believing in Santa?
