My girls are in bed, they won't be waking up until morning. We had Christmas with my dad tonight so you can pretty much imagine how tired they were...lol. Their dad is out of state working until tomorrow and I have just had a pretty stressfull day. Would one wine cooler hurt? I drink very rarely so it's not something I do all the time. My 21st birthday was weeks ago and this is the first drink I'll have. Will this make me a terrible parent?

my mother-in law lives down the street. In worst case senario, I could call her....I don't know though. I'll probably fall asleep before I decide...lol

Even having a drink or two if your kids are awake is ok as long as you don't over-do it. To be on the safe side, though, you should wait until he is back in case of an emergency and you have to drive your kids somewhere.

Well i am 27 years old and have never taken a drink in my life so i couldn't tell you how it will affect you.
My sister however does drink wine coolers everynow and then and one dosen't hurt her or make her drunk.
Now if you were to sit there and get so drunk then i would say yea you would be being a bad parent but just one that should be okay.

confident ,we do . On weekends as we braai i could have a dop or 2 and that i could pour my spouse a glass of wine . The differance between drugs and having a drink now after that's : We drink for excitement to no longer get inebriated ! i purchase my brandy as quickly as a year ( a case of 12 ) and it lasts me and my acquaintances greater effective than a year .

Dont even have alcohol in the house if you have children. Believe me its not nice to watch your mom or dad drink alcohol jus messin up their lives. Set a good example for you kids cause if one day you try and tell them not to drink you just gonna soundlike a hypocrit. My dad drinks alot. Its not nice even being next to him cause you can smell the alcohol in his breath.

1 should be okay...I have had a beer in front of my daughter. I don't think it makes you a terrible parent as long as you aren't getting passed out drunk in front of them. You should be okay
