Unconditionally. My kids are 23 and 17. Even when they do really dumb things like experiment with pills in the best friend's mom's medicine cabinet, come home and pass out on the kitchen floor, cracking a few ribs in the process.
I know my boys smoke mary jane and do other "illlegal stuff" but they know they can come talk to me about anything. The older one is more private but the 17 year old will share most any thoughts with us.

I love my step-daughter with everything in the world and I only see her every two weeks. We are strict on kids to help them make a better future.
