I had to take my daughter to the doctor today because she has a fever. At the doctors office they gave her 8 ml of tylenol. When i went to the pharmacy to pick up some more medication for her, the pharmacist thought the dosing was too high so he called the doctor and come to find out she messed up the dosing. My daughter should only have had 3.5 ml. The doctor called me and told me that she messed up and not to give my daughter any more tylenol for 24 hours. What would you do if this happened to you?

My husband works 40+ hrs a week and likes to come home and relax. I wanted to go out the other night w/ o our 11 month old son, he said that we can't "pawn" our son off to someone just because I want to go out. (just to dinner) I told him I need a break, I love my son to death but, staying at home 24/7 is driving me crazy. I do spend most of my day entertaining my son and playing but, I need time for me. He said that the moment they cut me open and took out our son we lost all of our freedom. I couldn't believe he said that. I just want to go out for 2 hrs top and have a nice HOT dinner. Am I being selfish? How can I get him to go out w/ me at least once a month?

I have two girls, three years old and ten months. But I'm afraid that I won't be able to love all three equally. How do parents share their time and love between multiple kids? I find it hard sometimes and I only have two. Is it easier than it looks? It's just me and my husband.

The thing is this is my third day with the kid and no breaks . I am getting less patient with te whining, crying and tantrums. I dont know what to do, we already went for a walk.

the walmart photo place, but the last three times I went there they were less than helpful. My oldest daughter even fell off the table. I don't know where to go that is very kid friendly and can get kids to do the cute poses you always see. Where is the best place? I live in the Us on the west coast.

On Y!A normally you don't know the ages of the people who answer your question. Would your opinion change if you did know the age? Would you want to take advice from a seventeen year old mother or a forty-five year old mother? What if dispite their age they both were first time mohters both with a child around your age? Do you take advice seriously on this site?

I'm am so sick of this ask Dr. Sears epidemic. Don't these people know that there have been are so many "theories" about rasing children? I mean look at Froids beliefs back in the day--I'm sure as heck not taking advice from him! Why can't we just think for ourselves and do what we feel is right for our children? How can we be so ignorant to tihnk one person holds all the knowledge about parenting and we should follow it like a cult? Am I a bad parent because I don't agree with Dr. Sears? And also--for those people who do follow his teachings, why do you?--I'm not trying to be mean--I just want to know what do you feel is so special about him?

I know he can me because if I say "want a cookie" he comes runnin, but if I say "dont touch that" HE WILL! If we go for a walk he will run away from me (into traffic) or walk on ppls lawns or everything but listen to me. At dinner time he will refuse to eat what I make, but will go get a cookie or ask for one.
He just does not listen to me, I try to be patient with him but I am ready to beat the snot out this lil non listener! (not for real) what to do?

I've tried everything from no drinks after 6pm to waking her up when I go to bed.
The doctor says there isn't anything wrong with her bladder. In fact, we even had an ultra sound done to check it out.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you.

Of course I'm not trying to start spanking my son--he's only seven months old but when do you think it's the right time to start spanking--as in when do you think it's an effective way to punish a child?

If you don't believe in spanking--this question isn't for you--skip it. If I feel I need to spank my child, I will. I don't want a lecture about spanking. I do think it's an effective way to get a point across, I don't really care if you don't.
