I don't think the age really matters too much. It is the maturity of the person asking that is important. There are fifteen year olds out there that are more muture than a lot of the adults and I would take their answers more serious. Some of the adults are here for nothing but trouble (as well as the kids) and don't really have anything valuable to say.

I would have to say that it would really depend on the question. Some people can experience more life lessons and be exposed to more things in 20 years than someone else in 50 years. Every person is different and sometimes the smallest child can teach an adult life lessons and even make a greater impact on society. So I would have to say that I would take advice from whoever has the most knowledge of the topic in question no matter what the age.
Age is only the number of times you have gone around the sun. You cannot base maturity or how much knowledge someone has upon how many time they have gone around the sun.

Older age seems to have more wisdom, but its good to have a varity of ages to answer. Gives you more to think about. If I received advice from a seventeen year old mother and a 45 year old mother I would see the hardship the seventeen year old has over the 45 year old. With time comes aging, and times change quickly.
It wouldnt change who my pick is for the answer. Everyone is affected differently. On my questions that I ask, yes I do take advice seriously on this site.

I take some advice seriously. I ask alot of questions about pets (dogs, cats) and also pregnancy related questions because I'm pregnant for the first time. Most people answer seriously but some people give crap answers just to get points. The age of the person doesn't really matter because I usually weed the bogus answers out from the legit ones anyway.

Mm, good question. Age is just a number really. Some children of 13 maybe very matured and experienced a lot in their short years so they could be of value. And the opposite for someone who lets say has lived 28 years but hasn't experienced much or knows about my question. I usually don't take it into consideration, just if I agree with them or they solved my question with all the criteria I was looking for.
I am 18, does my answer seem that way?

I dont normally worry about the age someone is when asking a question. Alot of times when I do ask a question its not a life threatening question so I do like to hear all the different opinions and answers people have! Its interesting to see how everyone seems to think differently! Age really doesnt matter BUT if its a marriage question it should probably be a married person answering! lol

There would be no way to ensure the information you were being given about age, (location, sex, or anything for that matter) is correct. That's one of the things about the internet; you never know what or who you are really dealing with.
I use Answers as a form of entertainment, this site is not something I would contact to help make an important life altering decision. That's what family and friends are for, as well as experts in the area you are questioning.
Again, this site is more entertainment for me. I have no evidence that anyone answering questions really has any education or knowledge needed to give true and accurate advice.

I am a 37 yr old father of 2 kids and helped my sister in-law with her kids when she had trouble..she had 3...
You will get all types of advice from people who are trying to give you good advice or help, but yet they don't know everything, but they are trying..what works for some mothers may not work for another..each child is different .

It does not really matter to me what their age.
If it is good advice then I will use it if it's not then I don't.
You can be 17 and have good useful advice and then you can take a 40 something year old and their advice be worth nothing.
Some people know what they are talking about others don't.

You can often times figure out someone's age just by looking at the way they respond in their Q & A's. Some advice is more dismissable than others, but ultimately it is you who has to decide.
