They are doing it for publicity so I try not to think about it.

I was pretty surprised when I heard that they were doing it. I've never watched the show before because I thought it was such a stupid program. But you better believe I will watch it this year. It will be interesting to see, in the beginning anyway, how the different groups interact. It's not necessarily a good or bad idea. Just an idea the producers used to get more viewers on a show on the decline.

I don't understand the criteria they used to divide people into races since the notion alone doesn't mean anything ( the color of the skin alone doesn't qualify someone into a race or another, and the genetic pools of Caucasians and Africans- or African Americans- can show even less difference than the one coming between two individuals of the same ''race'')
so, I think the idea is just stupid, it only spreads disinformation about a subject that has been wrongly understood for ages.

This probably isn't a good place to put this question--but I think it's interesting. I don't know if you looked at the question the producer answered but the game is about people. It isn't about who can work their tails off more--it's about manipulation, about betrayal, and about basic human nature. I think this is yet another interesting way to make yet another Survivor a hit...again. It isn't about segregation, it's about human nature. I'm so excited to watch tonight.

i think its bad its like segregation all over again many companies have pulled out of advertisement because they are against the idea. When the contestents find out the are going to be mad i think. It is a bad idea because it just divides this nation more racially. pretty soon kids will be at school arguing because the white people team lost to the black people. they couldve picked another way to seperate them.

For everyone who thinks theres something wrong with it theres someone who thinks its fine. I'm of the mindset that it's fine. If we all stopped making such a big deal about race then a stupid "reality" TV show wouldn't pull this kind of a stunt to boost their ratings.

I think as long as it is handled properly and not offensive to anyone I guess it is all right! I'll have to watch to check it out. I heard it made some sponsors nervous!!!

I think it just proves the fact that there are still people who look at others as being different! I think it sucks!

I like the idea. It's new and different... not racist. Racist would imply putting one team at a disadvantage by dividing them racially. I don't think any of these team are at a disadvantage because of their homogeny.

It doesn't bother me. I don't think it is any different from separating them by age, sex, and both at the same time like they have done in the recent past.
