I'd like to first say yahoo sure sucks to be deducting points for asking questions ..

To make a long story short .. my ex spouse found it useful to take off with another man and justifying it by accusing me of several things which were thrown out of court each and every time .. but i have not retaliated with anything as of yet .. reason i believe in forgiveness and tolerance .. and i love our daughter ..

We are divorced now and i thought she'd be happy but instead everytime i have access to my 5 year old daughter i find that my daughter is constantly telling me that her mother has asked that she not tell about how i am mean .. harsh .. beat and hate the mother plus how much pain i cause my daughter .. from what my daughter tells me my ex-spouse says this right on front of public ..

Anyone ever encounter this? what have you done about it?

Thanks in advanse for any serious advise ^_^

Please think about identity, like, how will an African-American child raised by white parents "identify" with his or her race, or anything similar (besides gay and lesbian adoption, I can't seem to find anything wrong with that!)

Okay other than threatening to punish what are some things you do to get your kids to help? My kids are; 6, 9 & 11. I have tried taking things from them and grounding them but it hasn't worked. When my husband gets involved, he gets frustrated and gives in. I never do give in and I am always the 'bad' one. Sometimes it gets pretty old. Any suggestions?

What is the most important value you want to instill in your children? Why? I think mine would be tolerance...but its hard to teach tolerance with all the bullies now-a-days. Thanks!!

The system is out of order ! I am a farther and I find it rude and not fair for just the mothers to be looked at as the custodial parent only. Why is it that as a farther I am put in the garbage; I have to sign for rights or set in a motion to file for custody to obtain any right; While the mother can move out of state and not say a thing to the farther.

I came to that area when i was 17, But i have to say i can't believe how the the younger generations are not disciplined in any way. Most of the parents in that area dom't care that their is nothing for the kids to do but get into violence. No vacations, no supervision, no money, and hell go outside cause its hot in those apartments. Now the father of the little boy was shot yrs ago about 21times, friends thought he would not make it but he did. Now this has happened to his son, it would seem like he would have tried to give this child a better life or at least take him out of that environment. This child had a gun, bee bee gun, water gun, dosent matter if you point at the police especially in that area(cabrini green) police are already frightened of these(black) guys so of course thay would shoot first. These little boys are looking at there fathers (mostly gang bangers) and want to be like them so how can we blame the police because we have no path for our boys to follow.

Even if I ask a question here and someone says something mean to me, my feelings get hurt.

I think its because my mom made me feel like everything I did was wrong when I was growing up.

I am 23 now and it still bothers me when people tell me I am too young to do things or if they just say something rude I take it to heart.

People say its immature of me to care about others, but like I said my mom made me doubt myself my whole life.

My husband and I plan to have a baby soon and I need to learn how to change myself for the better.

How do I learn to not care about what anyone else thinks?

My husband and I plan to have a baby soon. The baby will be born right before my 25th birthday.

I have had comments from people saying that I am too young to think about having a child.

We have been together for 5 years, we own a house, have careers and we have no debt.

We want to have two children before I am 30 so I want to start soon.

I want one at 24/25 and one at 27.

Am I really that abnormal to want children at my age?

Is 24 or 25 too young for children?

I don’t want to people judging me!

All I see are comments from a lot of angry mothers and bitter hags who can’t have children.

They like to boss people around and tell them what to do, but then you read their questions and it’s a whole new story!

These women have kids with fathers not around or drug addict loser boyfriends.

I think they are just so hateful that they need to go on the internet and make other people feel like crap too.

If you have nothing productive to say then you should just go back to your crappy job with your welfare children and drink.

My husband, my grandmother and I were shopping in a department store. My grandmother has trouble walking and walks with a cane, she was walking over to a display, when a little boy who was running around unsupervised ran into her. As a result, she fell and broke her hip. The mom of the little boy told us that she should have watched were she was going because she couldn't help the fact that her son was just running around. Later that week, me and my husband were in a nice resterant. A couple had brother thier kid. He was making a lot of noise and running around the resterant. He actually ran up to our table and started talking to us. It was cute for about 3 seconds. We were trying to have a romantic dinner. I went over very nicely and asked the mom to control her kid, and she blew up at me.

Every time I talk to my sister in law, all she can do is complain. She has a baby, and chose to stay home and being a stay at home mom, now every time she calls me up, she complains at how much work it is. It's really starting to annoy me. I don't deny that being a stay at home mom is not hard, but why does she constantly complain if it's the situation she chose?

Now she is insisting my brother get a house cleaner, even though she stays at home. My brother says the house is messy and that she hardly cleans. She even insists that my brother, who is hard working attorney help clean the house, and cook his own food. He works really hard, like 70 hours a week.

I have been thinking about telling him to tell her just to get a job, and for them to hire a housekeeper.

I own and run a pet store in Northren CA. On a weekly I get parents ( manly moms) who want to "replace" a pet that just died so that their kids don't know about it. Why do parents want to do this? Do you know how harmful it is to a child to do this? Would you "hide" a birth of an pet to a child??? Death is just as much a part of life as birth is. Children need to learn about death in order to become healthy adults.
Let me ask you this. Do you allow lying in your home?? Becuause replacing a pet that "looks" just like the one that died is lying to them.
If your parent died would you "replace" them with another person so that they would never know that Grandpa or Grandma died??
Please don't do this. Let them know about the animal. Let them morn. And when they are ready then, buy them another pet.

I was just listening to a report on MSNBC...a father, fed up with the fact that his kids don't or won't help with chores around the house, has gone on strike! Are you ever tempted to just throw your hands up, too, and just let it all go to pot just to see how long it takes before the kids start helping out?
