i love my kids with all my heart but sometimes i want to be alone , does it make me a bad mother ?

sometimes i feel like to be alone specially when they are more naughty than the normal , i yell at them and i want to go out alone , do you think i'm a bad mother?

No, you're not a bad mother, you're just a normal mother! There need to be times when the kids play quietly so you can have some sanity! My mom used to make us all go to our room for an hour every day in the summer, or when we were small, so she could take a nap. She told us to lay down, and she did too, in the living room. We all felt better!
Are the kids all small? Small or bigger you'll need some time to yourself, even just a little bit so that you can be all that you need to be.

I think every mother has these feelings from time to time. In fact, I don't think I know a single one who doesn't wish for more alone time once in a while. Don't feel bad, it's totally normal.

no that doesn't make you a bad mother sometimes we all just need a break from reality....my wife is the same way..she cares for nine kids and takes care of the house work....sometimes it becomes too much for her and she needs a little R&R....i dont care who you are we all desever a little alone time...maybe you can talk things over with your husband or someone close to you to watch the kids for a few hours....with me being in the military its hard to give my wife alone time and hours families are far from us..but when i can i let her have that alone time...

No, we moms need our alone time to recharge. You shouldn't be angry and yell at your kids, instead establish routines and consequences to bad behaviour and rewards for good behaviour. Once you get things running more smoothly, you'll be more relaxed, too. Talk to your husband, explain how you are feeling, and hopefully he'll be accommodating to look after the kids while you do something by yourself. I escaped into reading.

Lol! No, that makes you human. Like another post read, cats snarl and hiss at their kittens when they tire of their romps and pointless attempts to nurse. Watch National Geographic, mother lions literally swat their cubs hindparts when they get too wild with the horseplay and she's not in the mood for games. My mother loves me with all her heart, but when I got on her last nerve as a kid, she'd send my little butt out in the yard to play. You need time for you too. You exist outside your children's world as well, they need to respect that, and you need to stop feeling guilty for acknowledging that fact.

No!!!! I have 2 dd's. As much as I love them. I love my alone time. You need a break from your children every once in awhile so that you can be a better mother to them and appreciate them more.

i have to laugh at this question u are just normal i do the same thing every mom does exspecially single parents we have to do it all and we get overwhelmed i remember one time my son was so bad i actually had to go outside on the pourch and sat there for over a hour i was that mad at him its best to be alone and to walk away and think about the whole thing instead of just punishing

i have 3 kids and i want to get air or a peace of mind everyday and i know I'm not a bad mother so you cant be we just need to be alone sometimes i glade to know im not alone

When I go to the grocery store by myself, I feel good not having to deal with my kids for 2 hours. It is normal. Don't feel bad.

I don't think so either. I understand how you feel and have also felt the same some times, then I think how my life would be without them and I can't imagine it. But once in awhile, we need a break. Get some me time girl, we gotta raise them, but that don't mean we can't relax and enjoy life.
