Sounds like he needs some attention....so just do the following:

Make him dinner, when he's half way through the meal, get up - go to the kitchen - pick up a medium-sized frying pan and WACK!!!!

Right UPSIDE THE BACK OF HIS HEAD...call 911 and tell everyone in the world what you did...hopefully you guys will come up in the local news...Channel 9 or one of those channels - tell one of your friends to record the whole thing...and save you a DVD copy of it...!

Sure. Just remind him the next time you're pregnant and heading out the door with rollerblades that you've never fallen before and are an excellent skater.

WTF would make a grown man think it was OK to strap a helpless baby to his chest while he's rollerblading? Can you say crushed baby? I don't care if he's never fallen before in his life, it's a whole different story with that kid strapped on. Why in the hell would he want to do it anyway? Why not take the baby in the stroller and he can push it while he's on his roller blades? Baby gets fresh air and he gets whatever it is he gets from rollerblading.

WHY would a father even think of putting his baby in a position of possibly getting hurt. It boggles the mind. Geesh.

I think he is crazy, too... Sorry! But a ten week old is too soft and mushy to take that chance... Even if he's never fallen before, he's probably never had 10 extra pounds strapped to his front. And from being preg myself (as well as you!), we both know that extra weight sets you "off balance" - put yourself on wheels and you're asking for a faceplant.

Don't let him do it.

I don't think it's safe at all. Can't he wait till bub is at least big enough to wear a helmet?? Or wear his own skates??

Edited to add:
I think it's awesome that EVERYONE is unanimously agreeing that indeed, this is not smart. That way it will be easier to convince your husband.

Hopefully. He DID come up with this grand Idea, after all.

He's nuts.
Does he have a helmet for baby?
Does he realize that his center of balance will be totally different with the baby in the carrier? So he might be more likely to fall even if he has "never fallen before" while on rollerblades?

Maybe he should push the stroller while rollerblading and then IF he falls the baby will roll to a stop instead of all the horrible things that could happen to a baby IF he fell.

No!!!

If he does go rollerblading with the baby expect a visit from your area's version of the Child Protection Services and/or police. We're talking child endangerment here. Why take a chance with your baby's life?

Your husband is not thinking clearly. This is far too dangerous for your baby. His weight would be distributed a little differently with a baby strapped in front of him,you understand that from being pregnant! Dont let him put your baby at risk

uh...what did the daddy smoke before thinking of taking a 10 month old rollerblading to begin with? honestly ...

The baby's skull is barely even hard enough to take ANY sort of impact...baby can barely even lifet his/her legs or back so what
makes him think that the child will be able to take that kind of risk? not to be rude or anything but .. the baby won't understand what's going on around him/her if anything baby will be in fear more than joy

No Waaaaay!
He may be an Olympic skater, forget it. All it takes is one time.

I have seen parents roller blade with their baby in one of those jogger strollers, I don't think that's the best option either but is safer than strapping your baby to his chest.

Good luck, I hope you can convince him not to do it!

Even if he is an excellent skater, accidents happen and are one of the leading causes of death in young children. Don't risk it. Maybe they could try something else that they could enjoy together. My father used to ride me around the yard on his bicycle in a sturdy seat he made out of wood. I think it's nice that your hubby wants to include your baby in activities but please ask him to rethink this and try bonding in another way until the child is old enough to skate with him.
