Hey Parents! Have you ever thought about going on strike?!?

Question

I was just listening to a report on MSNBC...a father, fed up with the fact that his kids don't or won't help with chores around the house, has gone on strike! Are you ever tempted to just throw your hands up, too, and just let it all go to pot just to see how long it takes before the kids start helping out?

hmm that would be interesting, kinda scary though. at this point i wouldnt do that because i only have a 1 year old and she is a little angel so i wouldnt need to go on strike. i dont know what id think if i were the kid though, it may be pretty effective.

Sure, I've thought about it. Unfortunately, when my kid's clothes sit on the floor for so long that they get up and walk themselves to the laundry basket, I know that it's long enough of a strike. I always cave before they do - tough little buggers they are.

I have wanted to do that but with my hubby. The kid cleans up his room makes his bed and wants to do dishes but he is 6 so i tell him to play, be a kid...hubby doesnt get clean clothes unless he puts the clothes in the right hamper, and won't get dinner unless he puts away dishes.

I wouldn't go on strike. I would woop that kid, like if I were Madeas.

WELL I TRAINED MY BOYS TO BE HELPFUL AND RESPONSIBLE SO I DON'T NEED TO GO ON STRIKE!

YOU MUST TRAIN THEM PROPERLY OR YOU WILL HAVE A HARDER TIME!

It doesn't work with my husband, so i don't think it would work for kids, either! LOL
