Do you mean giving birth or raising a child? They're both very difficult things to do. Giving birth is complicated because it's extremely painful, and labour can last as long as 52 hours!
Raising children is complicated because you're trying to maintain the life you had before, but at the same time you need to devote all your energy to watching your kids, feeding them, teaching them about everything, disciplining them.... It's hard.

Having a baby is complicated in more than one way. Firstly, you have the 9 months before. Morning sickness, feeding two people with the nourishment that you take in. The lack of sleep and then sleeping too much.
Then comes the delivery. Labor is never fun even in it's mildest stages.
But the greatest complications come after.Trying to get sleep. Trying to figure out why the baby won't stop crying (it's easier with children because they can tell you but babies can't). Being responsible for someone besides yourself.
Now while this sound all Eeorish, being a parent is great when you are ready and responsible for it. The rewards far out weigh the difficult things.

I am sure by now, you have heard that every pregnancy is different. The first one could be very painful, then the second is no problem. Some people can bare pain really well and they would say it is not so bad (like me). However, I won't lie to you, it is painful. While I was waiting to deliver, I heard a woman sreaming like crazy. I guess I just found my own way of dealing with the pain. I did not go to any classes and I did not know what to expect and no support. However, even after the painful, but wonderful experience of the first one, you would be more than happy to do it again.

The act of having a baby isn't that complicated. The lifetime committment to raise a healthy, stable, contributing member of society, on the other hand, is very complicated. And worth it, too.

HAVING the baby? Nah. Once you're a certain amount of time into it, it's kind of inevitable.
Now OWNING the baby, that's a whole 'nother story. And it's even more complicated than you'd think, for one reason or another.

Maybe not the whole labor and delivery process, as thats very natural...
Put parenting in general is a complicated matter!
Best of luck if you're considering pregnancy or are currently prego.

No. I have a baby and everyone acted like it would be the worst thing in the world. Yeah it hurts but you can get an epidural. And once you see the baby, you forget all about the pain you went thru.

Depends on what you mean by complicated. It is pretty simple.... it is going to outgrow its surroundings and then it will come out one of two ways. If by complicated you mean painful , then you bet ya.
