As with any major change, be sure to keep his routine about the same as much as you can. He should eat and sleep about the same time everyday. Also, be sure to give your son lots of TLC. Read, play, get some ice cream together, go to the park, anything to give him some time with mom. Also, have some of his toys, blankets with you. If he has a special blanket or animal, be sure to have it. Your son should adjust fairly quickly as long as you are there.

be calm and understanding of any behavior changes. keep open and positive communication with friends and family. leave negativity on the 'back burner' whenever the child is within listening distance at all times. if you have communication with the 'father' and/or visitation. stay possitive whether the outcome. divorce will not destroy a child so long as parents cooperate and keep possitive communication. seek legal advice, leaving your son with someone else. he is too young to understand anyway. but, i think the best adjustments happen when the parents act like adults and not children themselves. good luck!

try arranging his room the same way it was before , make sure you keep to the same routine . invite familuar people over as he may be afraid he wont see them again because he moved . have him pick out some new stuff for his room and let him help you arrange it .
moving can be scary for kids

Make as many things familiar around him as you can. Unpack his things, his blankets, towels, toys, put familiar items nearby, it helps with the adjustment.
