My 11 year old has been on it for about a year, and I used to take it too. For her, it has been very helpful. I see a real difference and it has improved her ability to stay on task and focus. It did the same for me (I'm off because of a different med I take for something else). She did try several other medications before this one, and the others made her moody. This one has no side effects and has been rather helpful. However, everyone responds differently. You will most likely see how it helps or doesn't when school starts. My daughter is only on 25mg, which is a pretty low dose (I used to take 60). She may need more when school starts, though. Best of luck to your son!

My 10 year old daughter took it for 2 years. She asked that we take her off of it because she has a wicked gag reflex and it is hard for her to take pills. We decided to give it a shot and take her off of it over the summer. We'll she how she does when she gets back in school.

Had to take my 10 yr old off it because regardless of upping his dose, his body became immune to it's effects and it stopped working for him.

my 6 yr old daughter was on it . she was a mess . our MRDD worker said she has had several parents not like what the medication did to their kids and had them taken off it .
my daughter was very moody on it and would have mental break downs .

No children on it....but my husband has been taking it for about 3 years and it has been a wonderful thing for him.
