My kids ages 13 and 9 need everything for school. How much is sufficent enough for each kid? Jeans, tops, shoes/sneakers, etc. Please give details if you can. How much should I spend on each child? My oldest is into name brands so take that into consideration, too.

I grew up with my mom my whole life and we'll she wasn't exactly there much for me, but my dad wasn't either. i took on alot of responsibility growing up and now, i currently faced many obstacles in my mom and I's relationship and i moved in with my dad who has been in y life for maybe the last 3 years. my mom and dad are both heavy drinkers. Every one tells me that my mom dosen't care about me or miss me at all and i can't find it in me to believe it. ya she says she loves me but it doesn't even sound like she means it half the time. i've been living with my dad for almost 3 months now and she hasn't asked me to come back home. on my birthday which was the 27th of june she didn't call me until 11:30 that night and she told me she was busy all day and didn't have time. Why can't my mom show me that she cares, that is if she really does? i do miss her, i miss her alot and i wish she would remind me once in a while that she actually cares about me and doesn't care if im gay or not.

I feel bad but she was getting really annoying and was pinching me. I don't know if I pushed her really hard either, I'm a lot older than her.

My 14yr old step daughter went to stay at her mother's place last weekend. I found out that she told her mother she was staying at a friends house and went to a party instead. She was drinking and walking the streets, ended up staying at a guys house and sleeping in his bed. She insists that nothing happened. My husband spoke with her mother about it and she told him that she did it because was depressed and sad, she came home crying and he felt really sorry for her. Neither parent did anything except say a few words o her, I have no idea what they actually said to her, but i felt completely left out of the decision. I felt that she should have been punished in some way. My husband seemed to 'excuse' it by saying..."she never grew up with a father". I think what she did was deplorable and if it had been 'my' daughter I'm sure my husband would have insisted on a punishment of some kind. I feel as though i have no right to intervene, she lives with us. Should i mind my business?

I decided to let my son's father see him on weekends... Told his girlfriend that I needed to get to know her before I let him go to her house. My son's father is an alcoholic and is not responsible. He does not pay much attention to my 3 year old son at all so I'm having second thoughts. My son has never been away from me for more than a few hours at a time and has been alone with his father only once (His father came home drunk with my son in the backseat of his car.) We live two hours away from eachother now. I'm scared that my son might get hurt while in his father's care... Am I worring too much? Am I making the right discission? What if something happens to my son? AGH!

I was going to ask all of your other parent's out there. Do your kids wear their underwear anymore? My teenage son no longer puts underwear in the hamper anymore. And, I checked his drawers and his underwear is staying in the same place that I put it.

Both of the jokes have sexual innuendos. This my youngest of four, so I really do know what they learn outside the home. Should I discuss with him that jokes like that aren't always appropriate, or forget the jokes and just discuss the sexual issues.

here they are:
Q -Why are my bedroom light switch and micheal jackson the same?
A - I turn them both on.

Q - What does micheal jackson call a boy on a inner-tube in his pool?
A - Temptation Island

Also when he told them I laughed, nobody is perfect.

when my 6 year old son misbehaves i have him sit in front of me til he is doing better but i think some parents send their children to their rooms so the child will be away from the parents. because the true punishment is that the child is away from the parent ;( in their rooms the children can play but they are sad because they are not in the room with their parents and for whatever they were upset about

I can think of a few ways I can accomplish this aim:

- Favor any blonde-haired children I have over any non-blondes.
- Be proud to be seen in public with my trophy blonde children while being ashamed to be seen with any brunettes I may have (God forbid)
- If I have two daughters with different hair colors (one blonde, and one brunette or redhead), always compliment the blonde on her looks in front of her sister
- Always say in front of your children that you are grateful for marrying a blonde bombshell
- Point out to your kids who the best-looking children in their classes are.

Any other suggestions you may have for me?
