My daughter was recently adopted by my husband and her birth fathers parental rights have been terminated. We have had to change our phone number to stop his harrassment. He is an abusive alcoholic and not suitable for her to know or be around and never took an interest in being a father to her until it was too late. My husband's family lives in the same town as my daughters birth mother and we are planning a trip to see them. What can I do to prevent a run-in with my ex? I don't want to run into him and him say or do anything to scare my daughter but I don't want to keep her inside and hidden from the public the whole time either.

His beautiful two children 6 & 7, have moved in with us. We've known this was coming for two months now, and have taken steps to find a proper daycare for them while we're at work. I did all the research, prepared all the paperwork, even shelled out some money to help out to pay for it. However, becuase he procrastinated, the daycare is full and now we have no where to put the children for a week. It's been taken care of now, they're staying with a friend of ours, but I just want to smack him! Those kids are getting tossed around enough having to move in with us (mom is temporarily out of the picture) and to have them stay with someone else for a week!?!?! I just needed to vent that. Thanks - feel free to offer any encouragement or comments.

What is more important? Keeping your house immaculate or just making sure that it keeps a semblance of order? Does any one have any tips on keeping your house clean everyday, and not going crazy?

i was glancing through profiles in a chat room and this woman had a photo album with naked pics of her 3 yr old son in there....does anyone else find this odd? I tried to tell her that there may be perverts who might see that and save that pic to their computer and she got shitty with me.

My daughter is turning one this month. My friends and neighbors all tell me it's best to have 2 kids so they have each other to play with and don't become a very bossy only child. My wife says she gets tired running after just one toddler, and says she doesn't think she can handle another child without help.

My mom is 70 now and can only come 3-4 days a week because she also takes care of my grandparents and wants to help my sister's kids. My sister is a single mom, so there is no other family to help out.

We have never hired a nanny, and I got uncomfortable even hiring a gardener and cleaning lady. I'm not sure what kind of person or arrangement I'm looking for. My wife's vision is to have a nanny so there would be two adults at home with two kids during the day.

Another alternative is wait for this daughter to go to school before having a second child, but my wife is 37 this year, and fertility might become an issue very soon.

My boy says that he's fine and has come to terms with my mans death, but his grades went from straight a's to c's abd 1 or 2 b's and he's been exihibiting some violent tendencies.Like getting into fights with his best friend and just getting very angry, very easily. That's not like him at all.He tries to be tough for mom even though i tell him that he doesn't need to be,that in fact it would be more helpful to me if he'd sit and talk to me about it and even cry with me.But he's dead set on "men don't cry"and that now that the man of the family is gone,he needs to take his place. His counslor & I've both told him thast's not so,but he just won't give in to the saddness and loss that I know he's got to be feeling.Does anyone out there have any ideas how I should handle this??

If the parent trusts their child and knows how exceptional they are, why aren't they able to trust the person they want to see? The child's upbringings and their background should determine if you can trust their decisions and friends, shouldn't it? I think that at the end of the day it is up to your child to make good or bad choices, isn't it??

I need to find a man in the state of Minnesota, about 90 miles north of Minneapolis, not sure of the town name. I met him in July of '03, in Apache Junction,AZ. He is the father of my child, he doesn't even know I was pregnant! Can someone please help me or point me in the right direction? I've tried lots of people searches, and came up with nothing, only because I can't remember how to spell his last name. Only those who truely want to help, please respond. And all others, keep your opinions to yourselves, Thank you.

My mom won't ALLOW me to date officially even though she knows I have had numerous boyfriends. I will be 15 in 1 month and I make straight A's in school, I have a job, and I am very responseable and wouldn't think about doing anything that girls my age shouldn't. Do you think she should let her gaurds down?

My child has been acting tired and vomiting all day. Is it possibly because I got mad at her when she was crying and shook her this morning?

My husbands grandmother thinks that our son is cursed...
I personally believe that God doesn't make mistakes and that He only gives us what we can handle.
Our son has changed our lives and put things in perspective for us. What do you think?
